Just had my first practice with her this morning. Oh my gosh she sounds and plays great! I also noticed that this bass feels a lot lighter than my other Bongos. I'm not sure if that has to do with the all rosewood neck or is just the basswood body on this one being light but it really does feel noticeable lighter. Anyway, I'm off to church now and will be playing it during worship service this morning. I will check in afterwards and let everyone know how it went with a full house. I think it's gonna be good though!

Bumping this thread. I ordered an all rosewood neck SR5 from Sweetwater (Thanks Chris!) and it showed up yesterday while I was away on business. Now that I am home, I got to play around with it. It's my first EBMM since I sold my RW board Bongo 5 HH Stealth back in 2012 (shouldn't have done that). Prior to the Bongo I had a 2007 LE SR4 HH with a maple board that I just didn't dig.

I must say I am completely dumbfounded with the SR5! As always, great EBMM quality right out of the shop, and I'm really happy I got an all rosewood neck. Single H seems to be for me on this one, and it recorded really smooth through my DI rig. Glad to be back in the fold and also really happy I grabbed another bass to hold me over until my Bongo is done!

Were there any fretless all-rosewood neck instruments?

11 days later:

No.
EBMM stopped making fretless with rosewood boards because the wood is too soft and gouges out from the strings.
Fretless will come with Pao Ferro or, if you order the Stealth package, Ebony.
