I wished that they made a black Axis with a BFR RW neck too - that's why I got a Luke (plus I wanted a guitar with EMG's)...
that's a lot to absorb in one shot; incredible collection you have there

your Luke is perfect - a working instrument that you can play hard and not worry about getting the odd mark on. that's why I like the solid colours.
Rosewood necks are a problem for me at the moment. Someone should start telling me how poor they sound. Somehow I don't think you're going to do that.

thanks - I spent a lot of time designing that into the room

here's the set
thinking about it, the mahogany neck/koa top ASS is the rarest, from a run of 3 w/trem and 3 without
the woods reduce the gain from the pick-ups, and tighten it all up very sweetly
great to have the different choices available
a rosewood neck BFR in black would fit into the pack, if they made it

Dargie Delight AL MM90 - I believe one of three (or four) in this configuration?
Dargie Delight Silo - twin to Fogman's and one of four.

Hello again Stu Who Plays With Clapton's Drummer (which is how you have been referred to in my recounting of that day :O)
despite the other guitars in situ, the Balls have settled into being my preferred planks. I can play them without feeling like I need to somehow live up to the name on the headstock, meaning they are instruments to be played rather than revered.

you'll find that overtime that not only will you play them but you will also revere them as well... because they simply are the best dog in the fight... imho!

I get what you are saying. My thought is a compliment to the marque.
I see them as honest planks without the furniture accoutrements.
If you turn up with a Ball, the knowledgeable audience will think you are someone who knows guitars and they likely start with an unbiased point of view.
Also, the artist roster is small, and there are many small runs of colours/specs (as this thread shows), and that sits well with me as I can have a guitar that I can connect with as my own.
I've over thought that as I've tried to justify a point, but in short Music Man works for me on many levels.

One of his old drummers to be fair and quite agree about you comments, they are indeed tools that are to be played.
