My first guitar was an acoustic I got from a garage sale for 50 pence (70 cents!) and still have it though it never gets played as its awful! Continuing that theme my first electric was a Rockster(!) and it is long gone for obvious reasons: :D

My first electric was a Westone Spectrum ST, a dual hum, strat style guitar made in Korea....that was in the early 80s and that axe was good company for a while....

However, I sold it to a friend after some years to raise some funds on a Claim Starstair (body and neck were actually made by Godin), which was a guitar I really fell in love with and which was my main guitar for many, many years. I believe, the Westone is still with my friend, whom I havn't seen for a while. Maybe that's a good reason to get in touch again :)

Mine was a yamaha pacifica, which is gone. Still have my first MM, a Luke mk1, which i don't think will go anywhere. The pacifica was kept in the cupboard for a good few years so realised there was no good reason to keep it when it could make some kid really happy.

Those Pacifica guitars are really good for the buck - if I see a second hand one at a cheapo price I'll be snapping it up.

My first guitar ever was a classical guitar, namely a spanish "Privada" in 1988. I still have it, even though it should need some maintenance.
Mt first electric was an Ibanez Roadstart II series I got in 1990, sold many years ago.

I started playing electric guitar with my brother's guitar (an Aria Pro II from 1982). I still have it but I don't play it.

It was 1989 and I got a 'Rockson' strat copy in red. It had terrible wiring & an impossibly high action. I repainted it myself (badly) in a light metallic blue colour which, in actual fact was REALLY close to MM 'Luke blue' (one of which I have). I gave the guitar to my best friend when I bought my Luke I in 1994.
He still has it I think, but last time I saw it, it was burgundy coloured.
I don't want it back :)

My first guitar was a Mansfield acoustic that I got for Christmas when I was 11 or 12. Still have it. And still play it. Pretty nice guitar. Playability is good and the action is nice. Won't get rid of it. Too much sentimental value.

I have my first guitar that was a Fender acoustic...one of the starter packages from Sam Ash. I remember running home from school to practice my chords until I could not feel my fingers anymore. It's in a closet and is out of commission. I would like to put it up on the wall one of these days when I have my own house. The first electric was a cheap Ibanez...but I sold that one. I also sold my first EBMM that I got...sort of regret it, but I am completely happy with my 2 Balls now and a 3rd on the way.

I started out using my dad's guitars, so I only bought my own first one when I could get something decent. It's an Ibanez that I still use regularly for alternate tunings, usually Drop D.
