Not so much now but I have had a passion for VW's (air cooled), Karate and making things out of glass - stained glass windows, lamp shades etc.
Also over the years an avid Do-it-yourselfer having built garages, installed windows, kitchens, cast iron fireplaces, plastering, plumbing blah blah.

Just happy to have more "me time" nowadays!!

Sheppard AFB? What are you flying there? I'm a big military aviation fan. I haven't missed the Randolph AFB airshow in years. Unfortunately, Wichita Falls is a little too far for me to drive for an airshow.

Flying T-38s, training for the F-16. Should be getting my wings in February :)

Wasnt there an F-22 at the Randolph show this year? That was cool I bet!

Obsessions

My bass fishing obsession makes my guitar collecting obsession look weak by comparison. Guitars are great to spend the time when I'm not fishing, packing for a fishing trip, or driving back from a fishing trip. I'm in Houston and there is great bass fishing 4 hours away in any direction (but none here).

The lizards are kind of a fading obsession. I just don't have the time needed to do well with them any more.

I have a strong fascination with black and white photography, cars and anything 3D modeling. Don't know 3Ds Max, though. Should really get on that!

no real obsessions - playing and taking care of guitars, building amps, fixing and maintaining my old toyotas, like to get out to canyon country when I can, but wifes illness has limited those times...
tomcat - you think you may ever get a chance to pilot an F35?

I can be obsessed with everything thing im after : reading this forum, AXE FX forum, Evul BAY, cars etc etc etc everything brings my attention if i want to know anything aobut it.

It makes me very tired as some of the obsessions take even 1 year.

T-38s and F-16s...it doesn't get much cooler than that. What an awesome job! Congrats on snagging a ride on those jets.

Yes - it was the second year in a row that Randolph had an F-22 demo. The vectored thrust let the plane do things that looked physically impossible. Unreal!

Stay safe and thanks for your service Tomcat.

Yeah I cant really complain :)

I just wish I was a better guitar player... haha

The outdoors. Steelhead fishing right now, snowshoeing and snow camping just around the corner, annual desert trip after that, trout season, backpacking. Always enjoying the current trip, remembering the previous one, or planning the next one...

I used to obsess over athletics (as a participant), but not so much anymore (slowing down, I guess). Attending live sporting events is OK on occasion, but not an obsession. And I can't stand sitting in a room watching it on TV.

But I love music the most.

My other obsession / passion is building and playing lap steel guitars. They are a kick to play and a very versatile instrument.
