its amazing what people will try
on the local craigslist someone is trying to sell a used JPX for 2700, claims he bought it new for 3700 seems a bit off to me you can buy a new for less at guitar center. someones always trying to scam someone on those sites it seems.

What a complete bottom feeder. I’d like to spew vomit in his face.

I’m sick & tired of scammers, spammers and fraudsters.

But hey... yall have a great weekend. :)

Have you guys read the rubbish descriptions on this guitar?
"This is a custom installed Floyd Rose Tremolo, installed By Joe Jem, Properly routed so the Floyd Tremolo,Floats,so you may actually use the manufactured properties of a Floating trem. Scream Sharp or Flat"
By Joe Jem, lol, he then claimed that it's the perfect Steve Vai set up. Yeah, of course it is, because it's custom installed by Joe Jem. What a f@@$ joke.

it's similar to the guys selling the fake gibbys (and other brands) on the bay and craigslist...

just a buyer beware market and do your research before you buy...

He's updated it now with OLP everywhere. Hopefully no one will be roped in thinking this is a "real" USA Musicman Axis.

Obviously eBay don't care as they would have this removed. People will do anything for money. Makes me sick

Look, ebay is the same as any giant market with thousands of sellers. It's just too big an operation to effectively police all of them. In a very short space of time since our three complaints (and maybe more) the seller has changed the listing say it's an OLP. That's pretty good going on ebay's part and we can notch this one up as a win.

Sure, the asking price is ridiculous but any seller for any item can always ask whatever price they want. If it's a crazy price, the item won't sell. And yes, this seller's descriptions are still off but anybody who is willing to drop that kind of money on a guitar should do their research and know it's a really bum deal. If they don't it's their own too bad, IMO.

It's still listed at the same price! with Schaller locking tuners (with pearl buttons!), bookmatched maple top. Buyer beware indeed.
eBay can be weird with prices. I recently bought padded tote bags for my QSC speaker cabs. They retail for $70 and get discounted to $65 but someone had the stones to have a Buy it Now of $85.

Caveat emptor, indeed.

I am late to the party hear but if it did not originally state it was an OLP guitar the complaints sent in had that taken care of. As Kevin stated though, you can ask any price you want for any item you sell. I seriously once saw some guy asking for 20 million dollars for a picture he did of Hendrix, so their are a lot of quacks out there. If someone had bought it before the listing was changed, I guarantee they would of been able to get their money back for Item not being as described since that is not an EBMM guitar. But if someone who does not know what they are doing buys it now, they are going to get stuck with it.

Dont forget it was worked on by Joe Jem lmfao, that should be worth at least two dead flies.

Joe Despagni has built and customized axes for Vai (and others) for many years. From the auction I would have thought everyone knew who he was/is. I had no idea, so I googled "Joe Jem". I don't think that he touched the guitar is a selling point for an OLP MM1. IMO. Way over priced for a route and set up.
