So at this point, I think most people here know my story. And most of you know my crazy dedication to this brand. I've recieved so much support from the people here, I feel like in the book of my life you would each get a chapter, and I look back at where I was in 2009 scared of what was growing inside me, and now where I am in 2012 living with it, and attempting to be a positive force on the universe. Now that that run on ramble of a sentence is out, who would have thought the most damaging thing in my life right now is my teeth.. No kidding.. My teeth.
Apparently the radiation therapy I received for my brain tumors in 2009 destroyed my teeth and my lower jaw and I have an appt scheduled to remove 5 teeth from my mouth next Thursday. And they tell me it is likely I will need hyperbaric oxygen therapy everyday for the next two months. The real slap in this, is that major medical doesn't cover this.. And Each surgeon I've met with has laughed at me when I mention Medicare.
Apparently government assisted healthcare doesn't care about your mouth.

After all this time who would have thought it would be my teeth that really got the best of me...

Because of this I am forced to sell a couple of my basses, and because they are the ones I play the least they will be the Stingrays. I currently have a brand new PDN Gilded White Stingray 4 one of 200 built. Received several weeks back, tested, and put back in the case. It really is brand new. Other than that, and though i hate to do it, I have my Autumn Red Rise SR4 With Maple Neck. It shows signs of use for its age, but its a crazy rare color, and looks phenomenal.
Depending on how bad things go, i may have to move some other stuff out also, i have some amps, and other Stuff i'm not using.

So you know. I'm not slowing down, my band Ernie and the Berts, is currently taking Pittsburgh by Storm. We are filling a market nobody else here is really taking advantage of, and we are about as successful as is possible for a punk band in Pittsburgh. Ill post the basses for sale in the For sale forum, but know why they are for sale, and know that everyone here is amazing.

That is just the worst...did you know the state of California will pay for a kidney transplant but only pay the anti rejection drugs for 3 years...foring the patient to lose the kidney and go back on dialysis and that costs more than the drugs...

OK I got a shot at health care....Im pulling rank.....please no more...

Erin I am sorry for this ordeal1

Thanks BP.
All I was really trying to say was thanks, and that I'm just glad to have this fantastic community to come to when I need to vent. It's weird but the people here know more about me than most of my "real life" friends do.

As the husband of a brain tumor survivor, I can relate a bit to some of what you must have been through and still have to face. My thoughts are with you Erin.

Erin, sorry to hear about your situation. A tough but necessary choice you have to make. Nobody hear will ever knock you on choosing health over a bass. I think you are one of the best ambassadors this brand has so we need you to stay healthy to continue spreading the word. Get well and keep rocking! JOSH

I am keeping positive thoughts for you, sir. You are, as someone mentioned, a great ambassador for our beloved basses.

Thanks everybody.. One of these days I'll be famous enough to get a real endorsement deal. Them maybe I can get them to make me a Purple Sunrise Big Al...
I'll keep on keeping on in the meantime. And if anyone is actually curious about what I am doing, check out Ernie and the Berts | Sleazy Muppet Rock or add me on Facebook. I'm easy to get ahold of.

Erin: May I have your Paypal address? I know you helped out JayDawg. Maybe 20 of us can go in and buy the Guilded Bass from you ($100 each) give the bass to BP and the Casey Ball Foundation can auction it off. Just an idea.

Jim, that is a great idea. I was already planning on chipping in some money on payday but I like the idea of the CLB Foundation too.If this goes through, count me in as well.

Wish I wasn't broke, I'd buy that gilded white in a heartbeat. Best of luck, hope things go well.
