.....well I almost bought one in the seventies but my old Pbass felt perfect at the time. One of my buddies got one when they first came out and I did play it a lot .......but I got my first one about three and a half years ago.

I hear ya'. I looked at them in the '80s but passed because my I though that the F brand was the only kind of bass to have and my P was doing just fine.

I had been wanting one for a long time before I finally got one. I only had one bass for many years, now I tend to buy one a year.

Just one a year?

I had one bass for the longest too. Now I seem to buy 'em, try 'em and get rid of 'em on a regular basis. Right now I have 6.

"just one a year".....I have never sold one so they are slowly adding up. This year was a toss up between a Rickenbacker or a G&L to round out my "basses by Leo".The G&L won. The last three years I have brought a new bass home on the same day - just a coincidence - the next one is now intentional. I just put some gig money down on one and will pick it up in Feb. If I find the Ric I want the one bass a year thing may go out the window....thankfully my wife doesn't complain

Cool look forward to your opinion - I know I love mine

If you don't mind what was the damage?

AUD$2600 for the HH (retail price is $3100). I could have got one from Bass Central for around $2200 including shipping, customs broker fees and GST, but chose to buy local on this occasion.
