After a slight problem with the Roasted JP6 I recieved, I decided that instead of exchanging for another one I would go all out and get a bonafied BFR model. I had put an order in for the Music Man Ball Family Reserve John Petrucci 6 string in Bahama Blue Burst this week, but after 2 days of comparing photos on MF I switched it to the Island Burst and I'm confident I made the best decision for myself! My fiance (who is pretty much married to the color blue in every situation) saw the Island Burst and thought it was the most beautiful guitar she'd ever seen.... and I have to agree with her!

Do any of you fellas have a JP6 (or any other ball for that matter) in the Island Burst? Mine won't be here until next week and the excitement is more than I've had for any other guitar before, so some pics to hold me over would be fantastic:D:D:D

Did I mention I'm EXCITED?!?! LoL...I can't wait to see this thing under the stage lights!!

I studies at IU Bloomington...I assume you are somewhere in IN given your screen name. Whereabouts are you from?

You'll love the guitar you get.

@ Headstock....that thing is beautiful! I must say, that gold hardware is a very classy touch.

@Browndog....haha yah man, I did that too...I just wanna see some forum members shots (hoping for the sweet shots of some on the back deck bathed in natural sunlight :D)

@Marcus2...I'm a ways up north from you in Fort Wayne, IN. Indianas second biggest city that most people have never heard of, lol.

This color must not be too abundant around here, so I'll have to make sure to get some great shots up when I get mine in :)

Wow, that really is stunning in the light! I have to admit that the Luke body style is growing on me a lot. When I started research on guitars mid 2010 and began digging up information on EBMM guitars I hadn't been familiar with Petrucci or Lukathers music in any way, but I'm so glad that I've been exposed to them even if its a little late in life, lol. Too bad nobody has an Island burst JP to throw up! This is gonna be a long week for me... :D
