The 5 string is enough for this old dog..
I can still remember moving from a 4 to the 5 string.
Took some time to get used to the fact that I was looking at a B instead of an E string when I looked at the neck. :)
Had my moments at gigs during the transition as well.. :)

Now that you mentioned it this is also my biggest problem when I use a 5. I would imagine that this will also be the case for me with a 6 (aside from having to learn to pluck across a wider spread). Maybe I can buy a 7 string set and string it E through F?:)

I'm no tapping and flamenco plucking New Agey stuff player nor am I a Les Claypool wannabe. I am just intrigued by the idea of having over two octaves of improv room right under my left hand.

I'd love a Bongo 6, but not before I get a 5 first!!

There's something about the B6, it seems to look better, from the designs I've seen, than the B4, it kind of suits the wider neck I think.

If the string spacing is enough to be comfortable (I like 19mm spacing... SR5's and Bongos are the absolute minimum string spacing I can deal with) I may very well go with a Bongo 6. Very cool.
