AIGHT...I know all you bassistas here have a burned CD of some sort with your favorite jams to practice to, since most bass players could care less about musical theory in the first place. So what do you all have on your practice CD's? Let it out, all the dirt I bet you guys got some crazy sheet on thier, especially you dudes over 40...spill the beans man...:D

I just usually pick up an album and start playing a lot of the songs on it. Currently its Stadium Arcadium, and there are a ton of great basslines in there...

im not much to actually practice. I just grab my bass and play stuff while chillin at home.

when i first got a bass though i pretty much sat down and learned every damn Metallica song from Kill 'em All to the Black album. but since then I havent spent much time playing along with anything.

I still do that on guitar tho. on the 6 im pretty addicted to learning all the stray cats songs I can. its been a lot of fun playing out of my punk/metal box. its a nice challenge and a good learning experience

Hysteria - Muse
is killing me... my fat little fingers haven't worked this hard in a while - I think smoke is coming off the fretboard and trying to remember which run goes where will ensure a night of not drinking :)

How seriously good is chris from muse... I reckon he takes the cake as far as contempory/alternative bass players go at the moment. love that hysteria bass line..

Don't really practice songs as such... however I have guitar player pro (which has bass tabs) and a complete tab archive...so I everytime I get the craving to know a riff I just refer to that (assuming the song isn't from the last year or so).... not very good at learning whole songs though I get bored...

I learnt money/pink floyd the other day..dunno why but that is one of those hell fun bass lines to play.
