They were a day early delivering my carbon blue bongo from you, too. It used to be that the package would sit at the depot until the scheduled delivery day arrived, no matter how early it got there. Maybe UPS changed their policy?


Back on topic, congrats on the new bass! I can't wait to see pics, seeing as how I have a honeyburst/maple 'Ray sitting right next to me at the moment.

For the record, I think that Ray is WAY hotter than Rick. Just my personal taste, though.

Gentlemen, you have to get smarter about getting more basses into the house.

First, buy yourself about, oh, let's say ten basses. I try to keep myself at about that level, and my system is working, so it must be the right number.

More, of course, would be even better, I am assuming, but no point in going crazy.

Then spend about a year or so trading and wheeling and dealing, but make sure the actual number of basses stays about the same.

Every time you trade or buy one or sell one, make a huge deal out of it. "Look at this one, baby! It's got TWO pickups! The other one only had one!" Or, "This one has the compensated nut! Remember when I told you about compensated nuts?"

After a while, the arrival of the UPS/FedEx guy becomes humdrum and the spousal unit grows bored of the details.

Then, baby, you're home free.

Trust me.
