why a 250k pot not 500k in the y2d

anybody have any idea why there is a 250k pot on humbuckers and not a 500k in the steve morse y2d. Just curious most times humbucker guitars you see 500k and single coil you see mostly 250k.

well I guess this is Steve Morse choice and the sound like that is more to his taste

that's what Steve wants in his guitar. I do know of people that have put the 500k pot's in and they loved the results
