I strive to be awesomely freaky ...

In all seriousness, it's the superb necks, the form-follows-function designs (that happen to look great too), the sucky tops and finishes, the excellent playability, the sound, the build quality, and the customer service.

Dougie I thought it was just me.lol

To sum it up I just think they are doing everything better than everyone else, and the thinking never stops as new ideas are continually flying out of the factory.

I would like to know besides Sterling who are some of the great minds behind a lot of things in the company.

it made me time to buy my first MM (10 years)
i'll always remember that day, it was in 2007 and the model was a luke egyptian smoke!!!
since that time, a lot of MM have been in my hands: silhouette special, axis, axis ss, steve morse Y2D...

though one of my favorite guitar is my gibson les paul standard 2007,
i've always been in love with those guitars: i have an axis LE 2007, i'm going to have a new one...

great building, the best for me
beautifull designs (i love the axis!!!)
comfortable necks
good pick ups
very easy to play!!!

what is more worth than these guitars?
for me they are the best guitars i've played!!!!

Actually, it chose me.

Put in a low bid, e-bay, on an ASS and won:D

My SG has seen very little use since.

Dreaming of a 25th or a reflex:p

Initially, it was the Axis neck. The first time that I wrapped my hands around one, I was in love. For me, it's the best neck available ... period.

Now, it goes beyond that, though. The quality is superb, the customer service is great. And honestly, being a part of this community and seeing the generosity and caring of both people in the company and other EBMM players makes me very happy to be part of the extended family.

I can't say that, money being no object, I would never buy another brand of guitar, but I can say that right now, there isn't much out there I want that doesn't have the Music Man logo on the headstock.

The quality is top-notch and really affordable for what it is.

These features in particular stand out:

Unfinished neck (great feel and playability)
Compensated nut
4+2 headstock - no string trees

Also the smaller-sized bodies feel more comfortable to me and they are lighter.

I really wish I could own more of them but I'm content with my Luke for now.

Hi,

I played many guitars, in many stores and/or lent by other guitarists and I had some really nice ones, but with the EBMM Axis Sport i fell immediately in love when I first had it in my hands.
The feel of that guitar and the beautiful sound made me buy it straight away and since then not playing another one as main instrument. I still always check out different stuff and in studio I sometimes have to play something else, but my heart belongs to my AS as it is just the perfect guitar for my daily work.

Cheers...

The trem, neck, and feel of the JP when I first played it. The look and the neck on the AL.

But if they didn't sound good or if they were not well made, I wouldn't have considered either of them.

Made in CA is a plus, but not the main reason. (Same with my mesa amp.)

When I started, I knew nothing about electrics, but I did know that Luke plays and has praised EBMM, and that was enough for me.

But I also love that they are made in the U.S., and from hanging out here for almost six years, I have come to learn a little about Sterling Ball and how he does business, and I love that as well.

What reasons do you all have?

Picked up a luke that happened to be next to a line 6 amp i was shopping for and couldn't believe how much better my tone sounded. And it felt so great with that unfinished neck. Bought the amp and ordered a luke a few weeks later...and also bought the display luke as a backup.

Since then, more lukes, and this forum, and several wickedly cool music man events later...music man lukes are a part of me like the car i drive and the woman im with.
