Guys Mr Multi bass is still checking the forum....We made him special. I was hoping that he would have the seeds to actually leave but he is a seedless troll

Unfortunately just what he wanted BP but it did bring out some good opinions and posts from all of us.:D

I feel sorry for him.

Thanks and I do too....;)

I have some new found confidence. Hand me any one of those not to wear basses and I will make a non believer believe.

If you really want to sit here and talk about living only with what you "need", move to Cuba.

Once upon a time, I had a friend, let's call her Catherine, who was a stringer for Time and Newsweek and who knows what else. She is a very good human being, although somewhat leftist. Then I had another friend, let's call him Jose, and he and I had been through the wars together, including blowing the roof out of an important person's car, perhaps with a shotgun, although that detail is still up in the air, but anyway.....let's imagine me, Catherine and Jose in a grocery store somewhere in South America.

And Catherine wants some peanut butter. We find it, and there, in all its glory, is the one singular peanut butter available to the locals. Jose says, "What the hell. That's it? No choice between creamy or crunchy? No jelly blended in?" And so on.

Catherine says, "Look, let's be real here. How many different peanut butters do we need?"

And Jose leaps up. "That's what makes America great!", he says.

I'm the kind of person who thinks Catherine had a point. But I also think Jose was right. We could all live the rest of our lives eating only, say, Jiff Creamy. But thank the deity of your choice that we have options!

Meanwhile, I see Catherine has been busy.

If anyone knows how to get in touch with her, let me know. She certainly owes me some bagels.

For the same reason most people own more than one pair of undies. One is not enough.

i dont know aobut you, but i dont own any AU$3000 undies :p

i can understand when people say its for variety or when someone gave the shirt analogy. But personally, as i dont have lots of money to spare, i would prefer to have perhaps 2 or 3 EBMM basses at the very most, but would also like to try some other companies, just to have a broader selection of tones or whatever at my disposal.

but if you've got the money and if 5+ MM basses will make you happy, then by all means go ahead and keep buying them. whats the point of having spare money if we're not going to use it to bring some degree of joy into your lives or someone elses.

I own two Bongo's and wished I had more. In my band we use 6 different tunings and I wish I had a bongo for each tuning and then a back up bongo in case something happened on stage. Does that make me a twit because I would like to have 12 basses sitting on stage with me at every show. I think not. I have played a lot of other brand basses and I keep coming back to the tone of the bongo for my own personal taste in tone.

I refuse to enter a battle of wits with someone that is unarmed. So please do us all a favor be a man of your word and leave this forum for good.
