I fell in love with the Valentine for it's looks and pickup combination. I don't have a single Maroon 5 album and don't listen to their music, not my thing, I'm a semi-old fart. I just love the buttermilk ash body and roasted maple neck. Even though I only have the Sterling version, I can see getting the "real deal" someday. The only change I would make would be some brass block saddles instead of the bent steel. I did replace my saddles with some other brand that didn't have the string notch, I was getting a "sitar" noise on a couple strings. So whoever you are James Valentine, I love your guitar even though I don't listen to you ;)
 
hahaha - I am just learning from you that he is in Maroon 5. Which is hilarious because my band plays Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5. It has such a great groove. Now I'm really happy that I know who James Valentine is.
