I just think it would be too bad for this place to turn into Harmony Central.

Over analyzing and discussing gear is what makes it so fun to be a gear head. :D

One of the main reasons I post sparsely on HugeRacks. The HC crowd piled into that joint, and the JP forum too.

I know what you mean on the JP forum....some peeps on there can really grate your last nerve....

Music-Guru.....I see you have a problem with Wolfgangs for what ever reason...cool by me....

I see you like to post you don't like the Wolfies on every thread.....cool with me.....

1) YOU still never said why...easy to hate, not so easy to explain?

2) Mucking with JimiD....not cool with me...he is a mod on here but more importantly, he is one of the guys that I look to for help in many areas of gear, repair and theory stuff. Dude know what he is talking about like many on this forum. Just because he owns a Wolf, Axis, PRS or whatever does not give you the right to start trying to flame him or his gear. Believe me, right now it is funny, but is getting to the point of annoying. There will be many on here who will not be so kind to let you know to chill.

JimiD....sorry if I stepped on ya, but dude is starting to pluck my nerve with his only "I hate wolfs" posting.

So, MG, give us a little insight about your gear, and why the hatred towards Peavey....beats looking like a broken record.

I would love to have a Wolfgang. They are very fun to play and that is all that matters to me. There are some EB guituars I would buy first, but hey, there are a lot of guitars out there that would be fun to have.

I think what irks me about this post is topic is that there is no point to it. The people at EB aren't going to read it and go "Yeah Eddie, Take that!"

Nor is Eddie or Peavy going to read it and think "Man we really screwed up..."

All that is going to happen is a bunch of people are going to think someone else is an idiot and then totally ignore them, even if they write something great.

Anyway, that is my two cents, thanks Jimi, hbucker and others for making giving this thread some merit, rather then just letting it become a flame-a-thon!

This is a hoot. The Wolfgang is a fine guitar and deserves consideration if you're shopping for an "EVH" vibe. I own two - a '97 Standard in Red Quilt and an '02 Special in Black, both are extremely well made and sound ferocious. Neither are as refined as my EBMM EVH or the Axis I once owned, but they are serious rock guitars. I bought mine because of the Eddie connection, which is the same reason I bought my EBMM EVH, which is the same reason I had GMW build me a VH1 copy - I am an Eddie freak.
To try and discredit the Wolfie is nuts and shows quite a degree of "tunnel vision". Play what you prefer or play them all, who gives a rats rump? If anyone peeked at my guitars they would think I'm schizophrenic - EBMM, Jackson, Charvel, Peavey(OH THE HORROR!!!), Gibson, PRS, Yamaha, GMW. They are all guitars and all do the same thing...make lots of noise. How bad can any one be if it drives your wife nuts? :p
