I know my store stocks more EBMM stuff then our local GC (though I'm low right now). Also man, always check out us independently owned guys. You can normally check stock on MM website under dealers. You always have to remember GC is a large corporation, that puts a lot of different strains on inventory. Like stated earlier its all up to the manager. But What's easier to sell... a Les Paul Studio or a Albert Lee to a 15 year old Kid?

Just look at Keiths (sweat) GC they have the best stock I have ever seen of EBMM guitars, and there have been others posted that had great stock throughout the country by other forum brothers. It all comes down to who is running the show in that particular store. I am not a fan of the big stores but the truth is that is where most players go, but as Robert Fortner stated do not forget the smaller stores as those are the guys I support, and dont think you are not going to get a good deal with a smaller store. Just look at Pete who I am starting to think is building them in the basement lmfao, as Pete carries just about every model there is and guys do non stop repeat business with him which says it all. On the other hand GC is huge for EB though it would be great if each store carried at least one of each model, as the problem is that once you love one or two models you want to checkout the others and you have to run around looking for it where as if they all carried at least one of each you can check out the specs all in one sitting.

Hi Mike,

Yeah, I'd much rather support the little guy...I only bought my Black Sugar Axis from GC because I had a $2000 credit with them. Pete's store is where I'll head next.

My local GC hangs 5-8 EBMMs all the time in a variety of models. Not surprisingly, all have excellent setups compared to the Gubsons, which are about 1 in 10, and I'm not exaggerating.

Most of the GC's I've been to have been getting better. They usually stock at least on JP and maybe a Reflex or HH AL. They always have lots of the basses. A couple years ago, they didn't stock any of the guitars.

Well I know for a fact things have only improved, but here is a little advice. If you go into a GC or whatever the store may be and they have a nice selection of EB guitars and though you may just be in there for a certain model, sit and checkout all of them so you know the specs and get the feel of the body and neck on each model, which is what I did.

Here in Syracuse I've only seen a few in the last year, a Roasted JPX and a Blackburst BFR which I immediately purchased. They claim they have some more variety coming, but I'll believe it when I see it. They also have had the same Mystic Dream JP6 for over a year. Granted, this is not a huge music town like NYC, LA, or Chicago. The management at this store loads the place up with MIM Fenders and Epi's with a couple Les Pauls here and there. I guess that's what sells in this sunshine-starved city! LOL! I won't have any of it! My last three EBMM's I got from Pete DuBaldo, call him on the phone and I'm done! He's very fair and there is NO reason for me to ever be at GC. He is close enough that I get the guitar next day using Ground service. Looking forward to his call to tell him my True Gold Luke is on the way!
