Is it because no friend/artist has asked for one? We've seen Silo BFRs from BP's Rosewood 20th to Wonderdog's BFR 20th (what wood was it again?) to the Goldroller. But no Silo Spec?

Or does BP have some serious mojo Silo Spec that's being hidden away in the vault?;)

I was thinking along the same lines of a 20th... The rosewood neck idea is nice, but not necessarily applicable to everyone as a "new" complete model.

Maybe it's because a Silo Spec BFR would have been too close to the Luke BFR?

From a business standpoint it totally makes sense if the Silo Spec isn't a hot seller.

25 new models, eh? Can't wait to see what they are!

Im not picking on yo Lionel but I cannot please you junkies sometimes. No other company has come out with the number of new models in the last five years in the history of our industry and its still not enough or in the right order....

Ah, BP you were talking about models we already know about. Some really nice instruments in that list.

On another note, there's always something we're going to want that isn't out there yet. It's our *collective* desire which drives the industry. Sometimes our personal desires don't fit the collective desire... I can see how it would be frustrating in your position. You want to do what your customers want, but you also have an obligation to do what is best for your company. Balancing that has got to be one of the biggest struggles I can think of.

Personally, I think you do a mighty fine job of it and I'm pleased as punch to play ANY of the instruments you make.

I think guitar junkies in general, just are so ecstatic with the axes they have now and think of how their great instruments can be when taken to another level. A fantasy level of sorts perhaps. I think this applies even more so with EBMM junkies (who can blame? NO ONE! :D ) simply because what is already available is so wonderful that one can only wonder what can come next.

I'm actually pretty flabbergasted by the fact that 25 models, all EBMM quality no less, exist already in a relatively young instrument company. Great work, I must say.

Ok ok, /rambling

Rob, that is the nicest looking Silo Spec around man, congrats on getting one. I just may regret not coughing up the dough for one myself, but life goes on.

BP - your company makes a standard Silo Spec and that's good enough for me. Wonder why they don't sell as well as other models?

Great question. I have another one - If you combine the Silhouette and Silhouette Special sales - where do they stand relative to the other EBMM guitars?

My only guess as to the low sales volume may be that those players new to EBMM guitars are only aware of the signature artist guitars. I suspect if you had a very well known artist exclusively play a Silhouette Special you'd see more sales. I have never seen a Silhouette Special in a store. I've seen tons of the artist guitars, tons of Axis/SuperSports, and a only few HSH Silhouettes, but never a Silhouette Special. So, if a buyer didn't take the time to do some online research, he/she may never even know the Silhouette Special exists.
