As I said, it's in the talking/considering stage, but I totally agree.

Being able to bring this very unique, well balanced, proprietary body style to a mid-field price point would be great. All of the Proprietary Music Man designs are such a lovely, workable alternative to what is typically available to the players that can afford the under $1K price point (and you know what brands I am talking about :) ).

Not that there is anything wrong with those choices/brands, but there really needs to be more alternatives to the plain vanilla offerings and warmed over "new" models. Music Man designs make sense.

There is also something that BP said that really struck a chord with me at dinner a few weeks ago. These Music Man instruments are not merely musical instruments. These are tools which allow musicians to create with, and to be inspired by. I really was in awe of this statement, and am applying it to the focus of where SBMM will go and how we can, as well, be a tool that will inspire musicians at our price point.

So, we'll see where this takes us...

I would love to see an AL, Luke and Morse come out in the SBMM line. I teach a lot of guitar students who would be very interested, especially since some of them already own the SBMM JP guitar as well as other students owning the real deal. My student that owns a Luke guitar absolutely loves it and I know I would be able to get a few other students of mine interested in a SBMM Luke model because whenever I use my MM guitars for a lesson students always ask about them. Honestly, I just want people to get turned on to MM guitars and if offering some more affordable models would help more people find out about MM, then I'm excited.

It is just out of sequence...these things should be decided and announced internally first...nobodies talked to Music Man.

I see! Well, I'm very happy if these plans go through and we will be looking at the new SBMM Albert Lee HH quite soon!

Well it would be cool if it is an HH but just go ahead and buy a EBMM AL you wont regret it!

I'm having a hard time finding the AL HH on ebay, especially the white colored one. I can't afford to buy one new right now. So this was pretty cool news. I'm sure the EBMM is better! Wish I could find a good demo of the guitar on youtube!

brian and albert forgot who to talk to....maybe me before the public?

Yeah, it's crazy how things go with the forums and all. Next thing you know everything's a full go, except the man who has to give buy off hasn't even been approached.

Off topic: Is Pat still with SBMM? Haven't seen him post here recently, but then again I haven't been around here too much either.
