Why no subforum for FS/FT/WTB/etc.?

Okay. Now we have the sticky for the FS items. Why not a subforum? I know we didn't really want the forum to look like EBay, Jr., but the sticky seems to have the potential for getting chaotic. I can see people having a difficult time finding anything there. Just asking. No criticism meant. Just asking the question and making the suggestion that maybe the issue ought to be revisited. Personally, I'll accept any decision handed down from above (i.e., from BP) without any resistance. I was just making an observation. Of course, my prediction may be totally wrong.

well the sticky for the "for sale "items is a great idea, as is the Ebay sticky. a seperate forum could work, i guess it depends on how congested the current way does become.

You know this whole for sale thing is a slipery slope...We want to help our regular forumites connect and make it easier for them to trade but we also never intended this forum to be a commerce site. If it gets out of hand then we will just suggest that people use some of the other sites to sell gear.

Since we only permit ads for Ernie Ball Music Man gear on this board, I don't think a seperate forum is necessary for the simple reason that we don't have enough stuff for sale that's permissible to post... We'll clean out the stickies from time to time to keep them managable in size, but a seperate forum would be more an administrative burden than anything, I think...

ya guys... if the for sale threads get way too crowded let me know via PM and ill do some cleanup.

I figure if something's a few weeks old its probably run its course. Also, maybe stray comments like "thats nice" etc can also get cleaned up from time to time. In essence trying to keep the thread as easy to navigate for sellers and serious inquiries.

Lemme know if that sounds reasonable... and also lemme know via PM if housekeeping is in order, tho i will keep an eye on things.

How about limiting the FS/FT sticky thread to one post by the seller of the item only?All business/comments regarding the item can be done via PM.That way we'll only have one post for each item and it will be super easy to navigate. I think what we have here is special and hope that we can keep it going for a long time. I'd also like to thank BP and all the Mods for letting it go on as long as it has
