My only guess....and that is all it is.....because some of the tooling is proprietary and EB doesn't need to have it's competitors seeing what goes on behind closed doors. Kinda like Willa Wonka and his Chocolate Factory. You need the golden ticket just to get inside....but, it is only a guess.

Why?

I think it's because they've got FAR more important things to do.

Like shipping my LE. :D

Seriously, I think that BP and crew view us as both entertaining and exasperating. They really do know what they're doing, how best to spend their time and what direction to take their efforts in.

Yet we constantly offer up well-intentioned, unasked-for and more than occasionally boneheaded suggestions on what the company should do. How many dozens of times has BP said, in effect, "Thanks for the input, now will you please shut up and let us do our job?"

Sure, it's a neat idea.

Of course they've thought of it.

They're smarter than we are.

I have a pdf of the EBMM factory. I'm sure all you "regulars" have seen it. I'll host it somewhere if there is interest.

Taylor has a great feature on their site - Taylor Guitars \ See/Hear - click on Factory Fridays - which details a lot of the work they do on their guitars.

I bought my first Martin right after I took their factory tour in 1995, and I just ordered a Taylor after playing a bunch and then checking out the information they have available on their site.

I don't think it would do anything but help EBMM...

I joined ThinDave, Koogie and a whole lot of others for the Open House and it was just the experience of a lifetime. I wasn't going to miss that for the whole and I'm glad I didn't. :D

Anytime man, glad I could share, did you see Jon Guitars on page 7 in the middle picture. :)
