Great playing, Dean! Very cool song.

The LIII is my favorite EBMM, but I also love my 25th Anniversary. Great sounding and playing guitar with versatility.

Rock on!

I feel bad for MM and Pops about the Reflex.

At the same time, I'm happy, as I have one of the best and rarest of guitars in the whole world. IMHO.

Hey Dean - how good is the GC at copping Strat tones? I'm talking about basic clean Strat tones, particularly switch positions 1,2 and 4? I never really paid much attention to tha GC, mainly because I'm incredibly shallow - not really crazy about the body shape and don't want another black guitar. However lately the prospect of a do everything axe has started to sound appealing...

Right on Dean. I'm dumbfounded by it's lack of popularity. 90% of my playing is Gamechanger or 25th Anniversary. Someday people will realize how awesome this guitar is!

This Kansas Cover was recorded entirely on the Gamechanger. While I don't have your virtuosity it's solidly prog and about as good as I can play.

The reason it hasn't caught on is because most of us don't want one guitar that does it all.

We want as many guitars as possible that each focus on a specific task. The more the better. :)

Besides, Dean, whatever instrument you pickup up, I'm guessing you'd sound awesome on, even a five bucks guitar.

Love my 25th anniversary as well! If I remember, Big Poppa said on another thread that the Reflex was his 'best failure'.

Maybe one day people will realize how great this guitar is and by popular demand, MM will re-issue it? :)

Anyway, I also prefer the look of the 25th/reflex to the Axis SS.

I had a red quilt ASS, outstanding guitar but, I'm a pretty big guy, 6'2 240 at the time. When I saw the Reflex and that it was bigger, I sold my Gibby SG and ASS to get the Reflex.

Yeah.. was in my thread

I see the focus not on the failure, but on "the best" :)
As some said it may be the optic or that most of us prefer more guitars for different rasons over one for all
but videos like from Deano or Joe Bonamassa prove that the reflex is a serious tone machine

btw Deano: great clip! Thanks for sharing!

Dean you are a talented guy!! Good luck!! My question is what happened to the game changer (terrible name) pickup system?? I can understand a guitar model not taking off but to come up with something unique and then just put it in 1 or 2 guitars just doesn't make total sense to me??? Imagine if every guitar in the lineup had that option?? I bet a lot of people would jump on that!!! That's my 2 cents!!!!

They would run the risk of damaging the rest of the line up.
Folks don't want complicated magic electronics, and I especially don't want USB on my guitars.
The model/styling itself wasn't the problem imho.

The game changer was soundly rejected and I dont care what the name is. I havent given up..but we have been busy sort of re inventing ourselves so we can be around to re visit the GC.

I learned a lot about the Reflex in basses and guitars. Dont give more than you have to. The players had so many sonic choices on the basses but couldsnt figure out a push button. Give them a volume and a tone.

The reflex guitar could have probably been packaged better but for the life of me it is still an awesome guitar and is one of my proudest failures.

Oops lol. The question was asked, and only gave my opinion.
I have a simple mind, and like simplicity (volume, tone).
I'm here because I'm addicted to musicman guitars.
Respect to Mr sterling Ball for what you do.

Does the Majesty have this technology? I love my guitar the way it is, and probably wouldn't change anything. Although reversing the middle toggle options might be cool. I love the middle coil tapped sound for cleans.
