If I can ask this question? Is there something in the works to replace it? Should I keep my old SUB1's? (I know it won't increase in value like the EVH's but hey...)

Yeah thanks, I saw it at work after posting (search feature, D'oh!)...well I guess the only thing for me to say is I am grateful they came out when they did. If it wasn't for the SUB 1 I would have never discovered EBMM guitars. Thanks.
What I would like to know, and obviously if it is possible to determine and/or make public is the quantity of Subs that were produced.

Ok...I just bought a Sub 1...get home, plug it in and find that it plays as well as my PRS, Fender and all the others I own. So I get excited and join this forum...and find that the Sub 1 is no longer being made...after I told all of my friends to get one ASAP...and it's gone for good...Grrrrrrrrr...

Now, they really need to go out and get one. I saw a Guitar Center recently that had quite a few of them. Musician's Friend apparently still has a bunch of them.

Anyway, if you like the Sub, well...give the other EBMM guitars a try. They're fantastic.

Well if you like the SUB, sell some of those other guitars and buy a MusicMan! :) They play even better than the SUBs.

I hear you guys loud and clear about ditching the other brands. I've been playing the Sub for the last two hours and can't imagine a better guitar. Sure, it could use a few simple upgrades but even after that cost it still comes in pretty cheap.

Here's how I know Musicman is it- When I play it for 2 hours and then grab my PRS and Fenders, which I've been playing for years, and they feel foreign in my hands.
My first thought when I picked up my American Lone Star Strat was...yuck...

Bad for Fender, good for Musicman. :)

At one point I had three SUB 1's to my name...dang I should have kept that Emergenza one...I was going to sell my last two, but now that they're extinct I think I will hold on to them. I mean not because I believe they will be worth something some day, just for the fact that they are great instruments. Any word on how many SUB's got built?

It is THE guitar to buy, in my opinion. It's my best guitar. I'm getting ready to rotate my guitars around to prepare to go after a used Axis I've found. The EB (and my old Guild) are the only ones off the table.

If there's a Fender that plays as well....I've yet to find it (and play about every guitar that comes into my local GC).

Sound Control (before they went bust) in the UK were selling subs for £249 new.
Incredible!

It was a great guitar for the $$ that's for sure.

There are still a few floating around, someday I'll snag one. :)

Believe me, the moment that Sound Control (UK Music store) sorts out it's administration issues I'm going to break out the Credit Card and grab me one of their run-out stocks of SUB 1 guitars. Either Red or Black, single HB with trem.
Probably going to buy a really long guitar strap and jump around like the fat, bald middle aged buffoon that I really am playing Green Day and Blink182 covers on it.

Brilliant.

I hope that BP won't mind the comparison but I reckon that in years to come the SUB1 is going to be rediscovered in the same way that the LP Juniors have been. Simple, stripped down, no nonsense, quality rock n roll machines.
