Wow...that's those guys two blocks from me at it again.

Seems they've acquired a bunch of EBMMs these days - guess they've figured out there's a market out there. They have some interesting stuff show up in their shop from time to time, but I sure wish they'd get realistic on their pricing....

(Darrell, I'm tempted to go over there and try it out just to get ya all jealous and stuff.....:p.....)

I was checking that out too, but my singer/girlfriend wants in-ear monitors for Xmas, I need a decent reverb pedal (suggestions?), and there's always more studio crap to buy.

TV - I hear good things about this EH unit from some folks...haven't tried it myself, but there's some sound clips on the site:

http://www.ehx.com/ehx2/Default.asp?q=f&f=%2FCatalog%2F02%5FHome%5FStudio%5FPerformance%5FProducts%2F14%5FHolier%5FGrail

Here's the original version, check out the files there also - supposedly Dick Dale couldn't tell the diff between this and a real spring 'verb:

http://www.ehx.com/ehx2/Default.asp?q=f&f=%2FCatalog%2F09%5FReverb%5F%26%5FDelay%2F04%5FHoly%5FGrail

(Think I might hafta put one of these on my Santa list too! :D )

If you don't mind using a rack unit, the Lexicon MPX 100 or 110 are good choices. I saw Bill Frisell getting amazing sounds out of the former, on top of that he was also tweaking it live on the fly to get some neat sounds - that unit can be had for less than $100 these days since the newer 110 has a higher bitrate spec.

This auction only lasted for about 3 hours.

You can see why...

I would have bought it if the seller had more feedback.

.
I think the buyer is one of our own...I believe there's a KickAxeGuitars username around here. Lucky dawg whomever it is - I'da been all over that too!

(hey Johnny B. - you from NC? Nosed around on your website and saw some references that led me to think maybe so.)

TV - THAT is a nifty looking toy! Nice to see they're continuing to update their boxes these days. Any of those Grail units would probably do the job great...the audio files on the site for the basic model alone sound pretty nice to my ear. They seem to sound neat paired with their other FX too (didn't realize the 311 guys were as all over 'em as they are until I heard Tim Mahoney's samples, for instance)...

Currently I'm in Japan. I may be here for a few more years.
I work for the Air Force (as a civilian).

Whenever I'm at home (rarely) I live on Lake Palestine in
northeast Texas. That's about 100 miles east of Dallas.
I sorta live in the boonies, (I'm homesick for the good ol' USA).

Have a great day!!
