Hi. I´m kind of starting with the bass guitar and mine is a 30¨ long i want to know wich strings should i use because i´ve heard that it differs from short scale to normal and to long scale. thnks

Stiffness might have an impact, but you really need to try out various brands as you will get lots of subjective comments such as mine next. Such as Rotosound and DR Lo-Riders are stiffer, Ernie Ball and D'Addario less stiff. Now, experimenting with bass strings is more expensive than purchasing various guitar strings to find out what you like but you can't go wrong to start with Ernie Ball strings for an EBMM bass.
PS: I use Lo-Riders as they are stiffer than other strings, but last longer than Rotosounds and get close to the Rotosound sound. Alas, GC stopped selling them at local stores so I need to order them online nowadays.
