Hey guys, I'm pretty new around these parts. Anywho, I recently picked up a Buttercream SR 4 HH from Bass Northwest. The bass is amazing and I really like the neck humbucker. Problem is, I get some noise when I'm running the neck pickup alone. However I noticed that if I just play around with the pickup switch (not changing the position) I can get the noise to go away. The hum is very quiet, not nearly loud enough to be irritating, but I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this.

Thanks in advance,
Justin

Sounds like a dirty switch or something. If you have access to contact/deox cleaner, that should fix it. If it's an actual hum, then I have no idea. Since you just bought it, the tech at the store should take a look at it at no cost to you... Bass Northwest is top notch. They should take care of you.

Thanks for the welcome Dr. Stankface:cool:

The SR4 HH is really a kick ass bass...I have been a p bass guy ever since I've started playing, but the HH changed that. I love my new buttercream 'Ray, but after seeing what the 2007 LE is, I just might have to let this one go for a Blue Dawn SR 4 HH;)

If so, let me know. I called BNW, but you'd already snatched this!
