i like the sound and smaller body of the sterling , but the neck is not to my liking ,, will a stingray neck fit , any one tried to do this before ?

I am not sure they can be swapped but the good news is that I have read here in this forum somewhere that now Stingray's are offered with a Sterling neck option. So that should match your requirements perfectly.

They won't fit. Different sizes and neck joint shapes. Havn't you got enough basses to be able to see that!?

Actually, it sounds like he wants a Sterling with a StingRay neck. Not an option at this point, and I'm pretty sure the necks are different on each.... correct me if I'm wrong, but the SR has a 6-bolt neck, the Sterling a 5-bolt neck.

youre right the stingray is six bolt and the sterlings are five, i m not thinking clearly, , i have sold a couple of my basses and are selling some more , trying to downsize to keeping maybe 5 or so
