Hi Guys,

Whenever I visit a new town I love to go to the music stores in that town. For the San Fran / Foster City area are there any music stores I really should check out?

If so please post names here.

Preferabily one that carries Ernie Ball guitars as I am considering buying one. Non EB dealers would be cool to. Thanks.

off the top of my head....

Local Shops:

B St. Music in San Mateo (i remember them having JP7, Y2D and RW ASS, maybe more & a few basses)

Rocker Guitar in San Francisco (RW ASS, trans orange AL, a couple SUBs, a bunch of Sr4s, SR5s and Sterlings, and a few others i forgot about). Rocker has lots of good amps too: Matchless, Orange, Soldana, Dr Z, Marshalls etc

other than that you're off the GC in SF or San Jose. Last time i was at the SF GC they had a few ASSs, a few RW ASSs, a Pet or 2 and a Luke or 2.

Non-MM dealers:

Gelb Music in Redwood City rules. Talk to Ed, the big bald guy and tell him "Arin sent me"

theyre pretty much an acoustic shop tho. they have a ton of acoustics and about 20 electrics (basses+guitars). the electric selection there is usually really bad. maybe a couple G&^&sons and then a few no name clones

but if you are looking for an acoustic theyre a great place to go

Go see Gary Brawer's repair shop. Then get back to me and let me know why it took him half a year to refret my Steinberger. Feel free to give him a wedgie for me.
