No good deed goes unpunished ...

Seriously, EBMM is giving stuff away. We may not all be able to participate, but would we rather they don't do it at all because we can't play? That's nuts.

I don't mind sharing. I'm thrilled some lucky guy is getting these prizes and ofcourse hope for some nice stories up here. The way Sterling and co. stay on the top of their game in either guitar crafting and customer support is one of the main reasons I'm proud to be a Knucklehead :)

Me taking guitar lessons from John Petrucci would be like getting a astrophysicist as a tutor for high school science. ;)

But you can't seriously fault those who can't participate for becoming jealous? It's part of human nature.
Of course I'm jealous of those who can participate and I doubt I'm the only one. Maybe the only one that is active on these forums, but still.

And no, they shouldn't "not" do it just because we all can't play. In the end, I'm sure I'll be happy for whoever wins too.
The EU regulations are just unfair, that's all. In retrospect, I suppose I'm more frustrated with the regulations than with EBMM, so I hope you're not misunderstanding me. But man, the situation is still unfair.

Hey, I get being jealous. But I can't agree with you on it being "unfair"- it's just how it is. EB is a small company based in the US. And they're running a contest/promotion through their biggest customer (GC). That's just good business.

Keep in mind they do other non-US promotions- the Luke 1, plenty of small runs for Japan, etc. Just how it goes.

10k in strings would be slpit among all the winning sets. lets say $10 a set = 1000 winners.

More inportant question: How do you know you are getting a pack with a code/pick? Any special packaging/sticker? If you buy today you may be getting sotre stock that is already in place?

There has already been a silver pick winner!
