I would stay as far away from Line 6 as possible. I briefly switched over from Shure and all my wireless did was drink batteries and then went out after the warranty expired. Went back to Shure and have been problem free for 2 1/2 years now.

Drink batteries?? My G-50 batteries last two rehearsals (3-4 hrs each). It's also nice that it takes AA batteries...even though I use rechargables

A few months ago I got a Line 6 G30. I've used it at home thoroughly and also several times for band rehearsals. Works fine and has surprisingly good range. Only one time I got some weird stage interference and didn't have patience (or urgency) to mess with it so I opted to switch back to a regular cable. So unless you get a high level system, its something to think about with your stage configuration for where you'd have to set up, such that in any case I'd probably not go anything of lesser quality than the G30.

Thanks for the info! I've never dealt with wireless systems so I have no idea what kind of interference I may encounter. Our next gig is a block party. My drummer uses a Roland kit, bassist is cabled direct, and all of our mics are standard cables. My singer and I are looking for wireless in-ear monitors so they may be an issue.
I'm most likely going for the G50 unless there's some hidden costs that I'm not aware of. Still searching for a wireless monitor system but seem to be settling on the Shure P2TR215CL.

Another vote for Line 6. I use the G90 rack mount and couldn't be happier. Battery life is as good as I could possibly expect to hope for, the sound quality is as transparent as it gets and it has been completely reliable.

I can easily get a 4 hour (say 9-1 with 2 breaks) bar gig on a set of (2) AA's on my Relay G-30. I change them before each show, then use the remaining charge for stuff like computer mice, etc.

I buy my batteries from Sam's Club or Home Depot and can generally get 48 for around $13.00 or so which equates to about $0.55 per gig, not to have to walk or trip over the cable!

Thanks! I didn't look at the rack but I'm guessing that it's going to cost more than the G50. Unless there's a noticeable sound improvement over the 50, I'm going to have to opt on some savings.

I actually have twenty rechargeable AAs sitting around with no purpose so in a strange kind of way, I'm going to be happy to justify buying them all. That's a great idea with the mouse.

Danny Gokey was on American Idol a few years back and just coming out with his second album. Coffey Anderson is more country/pop style. Both are Christians and a lot of their stuff is faith based and oriented (especially Danny Gokey) so if that is offensive to you then probably not - but if you don't mind good music as a whole then yeah i'd check 'em out. Coffey is a great guy and i enjoy sharing the stage with him. Very much like a jam session with him - let it go and ride the lightening is his saying to me...

Well if they are anything like Cliff Richard, I am IN! :D

By the way, just to contribute something here that is vaguely relevant, I bought an Alesis Guitarlink wireless recently on a bit of a whim, mostly because it was very cheap.

I now know why it was very cheap. Sound quality - 5/10. Battery life - No idea, haven't used it long enough to find out. It's heading off to Ebay any minute...

Thanks again for all of the recommendations! I went with the Line6 G50 and couldn't be happier. Easy setup, sounds great, and one less cable to trip over or accidentally yank out. Had I known how convenient this setup is I would have gone wireless a long time ago.
Now I'm just waiting for my wireless in-ear monitor setup.
