You should post pics of it too, I'm curious to see it with the new pickups. Bet it looks good!

Here ya go... I think it'll look much better once I get a PAF Joe in black/cream!!!

But I've just finished with the pickup adjustments. This baby sounds killer! The Steve's Special in this one sounds much nicer than when it's in the JP6... Must be the wood... heh. Smaller, and more focused but really nice...

heheheh...

Wow, that looks killer. Can't wait to see it with the black and creme neck pickup.

Yes, just change the 3 way switch...

dont' get me wrong. I'm VERY happy with the pups in the 20th. Just that I though all along that one of them was faulty. Hence the change. Only after the change did I realise that it's not the pups... Someone probably had too much coffee at the factory when they wired this one up... whahahaha...

thanks for your answer. to a JP6 switch?
or do i have to change the wiring completely?
thanks in advance

Whitestrat:

I see from your sig you own an Ibanez Andy Timmons model...what are your thoughts on that guitar? I love AT's sound, it's fat enough to walk across, and I come pretty close with my Silo Special HSS + Mesa Lonestar + BB Preamp. I'm not in the market for an Ibanez, I'm just curious.

Sorry for the highjack...

I like the guitar's tone. It's a nice sound with the cruisers in the neck and mids. The hum is also nice. But honestly? I never play it. I'm too preoccupied with either my strats, or my silo 20ths. I bought it only because of that tone... There's something I don't like about the guitar's playability... But that fat and juicy single coil-like tone is gorgeous...

I think with a Silo Spec (when they launch the BFR version), and the right pup combo, you'd get a close enough tone. The key diff is the mahogany body.

Honestly? If I could, I'd get a Silo Spec BFR instead... whahahahaha...:D

I can't get one here... wanna help me buy one? I'll wire the cash to you... you can post it via USPS this time...:D

I'm leaving for NJ tomorrow night for a week, but I can contact you when I get back and we can try it. I can probably order one from my local GC up here and send it to you. I'll keep you posted. I wouldn't mind doing that.

The previous pictures were for the 20th with the piezo option. Your guitar does not have that optional circuit, so your picture and wiring will not match with the earlier pictures.

Thanks Nick,
But my bridge pick up makes a lot of hum .
Is it possible that the wiring is wrong on this kind of little interface?
Thanks

It sounds like a single coil but the hum is different when I change orientation, even if I use a Pre-amp with a headphone!!!

Get a tech to look at it, or call your customer service... It sounds like the same problem I had, but I can't confirm without seeing your guitar. If it IS the same problem, then one of your coils in the humbucker is not hooked up properly.
