Woa..Look a OneOFF!

Hey guys,
I BSed him into thinking I worked at EBMM.(I guess he thinks I'm an "Official"
He gave up the goods on the serial number.
It is.....(Drumroll please).......
G13864

Here is a cut and paste of the email he sent me

"Hi Steve. Serial is G13864. Really appreciate some more background. I wrote to Scott Applegate and he dated it as '01, but didn't give any further info. It is an EB trem licensed under FR patents. Looks same as the one on my Peavey Wolfgang - that sort. Non recessed. If any of the work is after market, it's brilliantly done and the neck is awesome.

Look fwd to hearing from you.

Julian
"

I wrote to him last night and he gave me the same serial #. Looking forward to hearing the story on this thing.

Ok...The serial # comes back as a white sparkle Morse with trem, ROSEWOOD neck. Built on 1/17/01

Totally! Thanks Jon! (I was secretly considering picking it up before OC mentioned the lack of fretboard dots.)

Update: I wrote to the seller to let him know about the fretboard and he sent some updated info. The original owner had it changed by a local luthier (apparently he liked the Wolfgangs with the maple fretboard  ) and had it re-wired.

Regardless, he's pulled the auction to update it.

Really good work on the neck by the luthier aside from the lack of markers!

Is that white sparkle meant to be so silver?

Whats going on with the switching?

Man I haven't been feeling well today, I just got his email...but is seems you guys have solved it..thanks!

Hah! He certainly did. But nice to see that he's not scamming anyone. Restores my faith in eBay

There was no "buy it now" price and no reserve, so it's just a basic auction as before.

Hope it goes low ... I might just have to jump in at the last minute ...
