I think all Musicman guitars will be fitted with a tachograph/ometer or whatever they are called a la Mr Horsepower. You can then upload data about how hard you rocked at your last gig onto the forum- and people with nothing better to do can compare data :D

OK Ive held back...What is the incentive for me to tell you guys super early what we are doing and tell you that I have to keep it secret due to competitive issues and patent issues and you cant hold your selves back and encourage people searching the patent office? Guess what the energy has just made future announcements later.

In your positive enthusiasm you are basically screwing us. Really we will tell you....getting a little campaign to search the uspto is just over aggressive to say the least....I can reada the script..." I know what the game changer is I saw it on the patent registry but dont worry Poppa Im not telling anyone but if you want to know it is on page 126....Maybe somebody will look and find it and actually be a competitor or someone who has interests other than over the top enthusiasm?

i see some journalists doing the same thing with apple..

i guess you could do like them too and tighten things up like a clampshell with clampshellbiceps that have received both epo and stereoid treatment.. oh and a bit black epoxy between the shells edges too....

i would prefer it stays the way it is currently though...

Working for a company that requires my customers to sign an NDA to see (let alone hear about) our upcoming products -- I'm always flattered that you give us these previews and hints. I too like it the way it is. We'll behave!!!!

Holy Mother of Zeus! If that happens to where we can't see some things because of that...I will be very disappointed. I have been here for many years and enjoy the "priviledge" of getting a sneak peak.

Pops...maybe I do some security work for ya...I can keep a secret or two...lol. ;)

Seriously....just enjoy the behind the scenes pics and what not.

Nice work "sleuths"! Ever heard of a thing called tact?

This is exactly why the uspto.gov site should only allow tracking to a specific login/password given to the company.

Pops, it was never my intention to screw you or anyone else. For the possibility of that I am sorry.

I haven't found anything and I'll stop looking. In my attempts to sate my own curiosity I've inadvertently screwed everyone from hearing about this when you originally planned.

And for that, I apologize to all of the knuckleheads who were/are waiting patiently.

JoeDog, You're right. Hindsight being 20/20 I probably should have at least kept the patent office comments to myself and probably not even dared to look. I feel bad enough already for basically screwing everyone here, whom I consider friends to a degree, out of a really cool announcement. Please don't add to my guilt with a blatant insult.

BK, I believe I may have been the moron who initially suggested doing this earlier in the thread, and pointed out when and where they updated their site along with the details on the search tools they had.

I think I owe the board and BP a bigger apology than you do. So to everyone here my sincere apologies, no harm was intended. Had I put a little more thought into it I would have realized it was not a good idea. Again, I am really sorry.

I think I was kinda the straw that broke if you know what I mean. Good thing I ended up not getting that pass to NAMM...I don't think I could have faced the EBMM crew after this...
