Finally received my jumbo size instrument polish wonder wipes from ebay. Upon first use, here is my impression:

They evaporate great and they get the finger prints and smudges off with ease. The next time I pulled the guitar out, after using a wipe at the end of a practice session, the finish was nice and soft feeling, like a freshly waxed car. Very nice.

My only gripe is that when I pulled from the center like it said the first few did not want to disconnect from each other. Maybe after a few more are pulled out the extra space will allow them to disconnect easier. Just a minor annoyance.

All in all, they work as well as I had hoped... And I don't think I will need any more for a very long time...

I don't think my local GC(s) even have these yet, I just ordered two bottles on the bay though, I'm excited to try them and your description just makes me even more excited! :D

The Wonder Wipes have been released? I didn't know that. I hope I can find someone that'll ship them to me over here.

Yeah, they don't really like to do that.

But they are easy enough to separate. Although a good tug and I end up with about two or three to use.

Wonder Wipes

This is probably a lame question...but I'll ask anyways...:)

When using the wonder wipes for your neck and fretboard, should one still do the gunstock oil and wax treatment periodically; every 6 months to a year?

It wouldn't hurt to use the fret board wipes and the gunstock oil.

Though on the gunstock oil, my JP is 4 years old and I've not re-oiled the neck yet, same with a 5 year old axis I recently sold, and both of them played just as good as wehen I purchased them.... actually even BETTER..... so , based on that experience I'd say you're probably ok, but who knows, it's different for everyone....

oh, and don't forget your TOWEL!!!!

Gotta pick me up some at GC on Sat 4/7 when I take the manager to a hoops game. Or better I wait and maybe he or/and Pete will throw in a small container with the BFR's.

Or maybe Pete will see this and decide, "I was gonna...but now I'm not!" ;)

I should make an order for some (Music 123 is my only choice I think). Any place else online have them yet?

So, these can be used to wipe down the body of the axe as well? IF so, what about the Stealth finish? Or is this strings and fretboard only? Anybody?

There are three different kinds.

1 for fingerboard, 1 for instrument body, and one to wipe strings and neck down with (I believe, I only have the first two).
