That's just not right. I am glad your family is OK!

We had the car itself stolen and vandalized years back in Philly - not much personal stuff in it, thank goodness. I think having all of your personal items taken would be much worse. thanks for the tip on Lifelock - I'll have to check that out.

Sucks having that happen...especially away from home where the stuff you bring with you is all you got.

I still use THE CLUB on my car (and get sh!t for it from everyone ) and try and keep most things other than maybe a jacket and water under the tarp of my 4runner out of sight.

Jeff...I'm so sorry this happened to you. I echo everyones thoughts, and am glad to hear your family is safe...being a husband and father myself..nothing is more important.

May whomever did this be suffering somewhere as we speak...

There are few life forms lower to me than the kind that will destroy and steal property rather than working hard to earn it for themselves like the people they're stealing from did.

That absolutely stinks. Hoping they catch the b******s and sending good wishes your way.

Thanks to our "great" leaders in this country, hard working people have to deal with this *%#@# on a daily basis!!!

Crime is unnecessary - period.

If you cut their *#$^@*&# hands off that can't steal anymore - right???. Am I missing something??

Does it take a rocket scientist to figure out this simple remedy??

Sorry, I don't normally talk like this, but I'm dead sick & tired of this stuff.

Jeff,

Sorry to hear that you and your family were the victim of some degenerates, but at least no one in your family was hurt. I totally agree that it sucks to be violated in that way. Karma has a way of catching up to clowns like that....perhaps they will someday enjoy being violated in a different sense while in jail.

To make things worse, we just found out they took several WalMarts in the Charlotte, NC area for about 3000.00...using my wife's checkbook....nice.

Beth, thanks for the heads up! I used to live in the cove and it's deteriorated exponentially over the years. Palm Desert has it's share as well. I used to live by the target in PD and you always saw grafitti idiots in the wash, home invasion robberies etc... I just bought a house in Indio (not Shadow Hills) so I'll try that city out. I think all the crimminals in Indio go to LQ, PD, RM due to the demographics, but who knows.

Wow, sorry to hear that.. Here's to hoping that the PD where this happened will pick those loser's up at some point in the near future and to you getting some, if not all your items are returned.

Perhaps some simple "Shredding" will help take your mind off for a few minutes?

but the good part is that they will most likely have them on video from the stores surveillance cameras. they'll find those f*ckers.

I am a strong proponent of capital punishment not only for murder but for theft. When I worked at the music store they hired a store manager (after I warned them about this guy... smart people) who lifted about $15k worth of stuff.

You can't argue that it doesn't work. If they take you out back and shoot you after you do something like this, you can't commit the crime again, can you?? Nope.

I hope they catch those guys man. I also hope that they just kind of strap them to a chair and look the other way for a little bit after they "accidentally" leave a ball bat in the room.

Jeffrey,

I'm sorry to hear about your week. I've had some pretty bad weeks in the past but fortunately nothing has been stolen (yet), so I can't imagine what that's like for you. I hope they catch whoever did it, and I hope that it is soon, so there are no more "WalMart hassles"

And to think I left the Silo in my car when I went to class the other day... sorry to hear about this man, but I have a feeling they hung themselves with the checks. People like that, they always get greedy and tie their own rope ;)

I could never, ever, leave any guitar in a car like that, no matter the value of it.

Even if it's a cheapo guitar, then you're still out the headache and the insurance b.s. dealing with whatever car damage and deductible and all...

I make my car as uninviting as possible, and leave nothing but my ice scraper and whatever trash may accumulate. :p

Wow Jeff, sorry for the late response, man that sucks, I hate thiefs and bad people, hopefully they catch them and the jsutice system do something more than a slap on the wrist.

What is the world coming too when a man cant even take his family on a vacation without worrying about being violated.
