Hi Folks,

I would dearly like to own a Musicman Luke but unfortunately I cannot afford one.

I recently helped a good friend out with some strife he was going through and as a gift he bought me the EMG Lukather pickup set.

I was wondering if there are any Luke owners out there who would be willing to measure the distances from the top of the pickups to the underside of the strings (bass and treble side), so that I can correctly set the pickup heights on my rather meagre guitar to the correct positions.

Correct height? It's more about the sweet spot to your ears than a numeric conbination for a guitar that ISN't yours...that's my best advice to you...trial and error my friend...trial and error...

I understand what you're saying, but I was under the impression that the MusicMan Luke had fixed non-adjustable pickup heights. This would give me a good starting point.

The LUKE pickup heights are surprisingly low, I raised mine slightly via shims.

It's whatever works for ya.
