would you do this to your Bongo fretless

At the price range they're asking, I'd go with Mike Pedulla if I wanted to have this done. I was actually considering doing it to my Hamer Cruise fretless as it is in need of some board work anyway.

I think I have talked myself out of it though, as there is something beautiful about the tone of roundwounds on ebony thru passive single coil Js. I think I'll just deal with the board wear...

I wouldn't do the epoxy thing just to emulate the Jaco thing,
I have a friend that did it to a $300 Jazz bass and it gave the bass more growl
improved attack and upper mids. Its got a rosewood board
I've used the Pedulla Pentabuzz in the studio with the diamondcoat fingerboard
and it was the best fretless sound I ever got. But I still prefer EBMM for tone.
I might do this to mine after the warranty is out.
Maybe Status will do a Limited Edition graphite neck for the Bongo...
