Hi all,

I have kept my powder dry, but some of the recent EBMM designs haven't been my thing.

This thing though....looks like it was designed for me.

The whole Tele/335 thing just sounds like a tone made in heaven. And the natural ash finish? Stunning. I am hooked....

Who has tried one?

That's awesome. I love this new model, and for the reason he said in the first five seconds... A classic guitar that is made in this century. Perfect description.

Gas is thru the roof for this thing. Can't decide on a color!!! :)

I'm pretty interested as well ... looking forward to playing one!

On the pickup config- I've got my Morse and Y2D wired up so I can get a split coil bridge, and I love it combined with the neck humbucker. So I think I'll love the Valentine.

Man thats a sweet interview, now I have an interest in one. Not a big Maroon 5 fan but I remember the first time I saw them was on a New Years Eve special and I pointed out to my wife how bad azz the guitar player was, which I learned was James Valentine:)

This is a sweet sounding guitar with great features, especially liking the pups.

The video is marked private now. I wonder what happened.

Link no longer works, watched it last night awesome interview on his sig guitar, cannot seem to find it any longer. You Tube search just brings up NAMM stuff.

I'd love to see Johnny Hiland spank one of these! Seems like a super versatile instrument. The wedge thing: really surprised no one has done that before. It seems so obvious once EBMM developes it. Kind of like truss rod adjustment, small headstock, liquid binding in binding channel, etc. Innovation at its finest!

Yeah...the wedge thing really interests me too. I can see the logic and I can imagine how it might feel. I just cant wait to try it. I have a dealer lined up in the UK to get my hands on one.

i had the pleasure of running into James early on Friday at the NAMM show... it was my father-in-law, myself and James for 10-15 minutes talking about the guitar. He's one heck of a dude... way cool and so very passionate about the guitar. He was telling me everything it does and how inspirational the guitar is to play...
i had the guitar in my hands and he did a full walk through of the whole thing... telling me how and why he went with specific choices... it was killer.
Then he's like "Pete... don't just stand there holding it... go play the Damned thing plugged in!" it was a great experience... it felt like an old pair of jeans... the angle cut on the body is so subtle but so spot on... your arm just falls right into place.
The spank and bite from the tele/p90ish and the humbucker is just flat killer. this is on my short list of guitars to buy (ive got the buttermilk one already to go as soon as the cash shows up)
