OK! Here is the idea.

The y2d has been ordered. I don’t like to call Ernie Ball ‘cause they are to busy to deal with little pee-ons like me but with free long distance I love to hassle Bree at obsession guitars (814.948.8937) call him up and tell him I said hello.

So I want to pick up my y2d at the open house in September. Bree called Ernie and found out that my y2d is scheduled to be complete in October. (YEAH!!!) If the guitar is ready by the time of the open house it appears that I will be able to pick it up there. Provided of course that Bree pays Ernie for the ax. (I already did my part to make that happen)

If for no other reason, this will be great to not have to ship it twice before I get it.
In the (likely) event that my guitar is not ready before its’ scheduled date, there is the possibility that the neck could be pulled for application of a signature by my main man Steve Morse.

Now I realize that Ernie will have his hands full at the open house. I was hoping to get through the whole thing incognito but there is no way I can do that. I’m just too powerful a force to not be recognized. Still, all of this and implementation of my little scheme is just gravy! Maybe it can work out and maybe it won’t. Dreaming is fun and free and I do love gravy.

Hey NorM,
At that point there should be a few Y2D's in various stages of completion.

Who knows they might even be able to track yours down and let you get a pic of it at that time. That would make for some good pictures to keep for later on. How often do you get to see your guitar being built?

And nothing makes people say "Awwwwwwwww" more than baby pictures.

you took the words right out of my mouth. Steve has approved the latest revision of the Y2D. The good news is that we will start taking orders at the Indy NAMM show in a bout ten days. The bad news is our already busy factory will be overloaded for awhile with the thirteen new models being intoduced. I other words the delivery will take longer....sorry but you can't hurry love. We have been slowly ramping up production and plan on continiuing thorughout the year but not at the expense of quality.

Just a quick question for BP:

is there an 'on order' list for the Y2D? I'm just asking because I, like some other people on the forum, ordered the Y2D in February. Do people who order first, get the first ones that roll off of the production pad or how do you work with the orders?

It's not that I would wanna hasten things, I'll hear about it when the guitar is finished. I was just wondering about that. I already have two Morses, so I have something to get along with whilst waiting.

Sanded or not, that's way freakin' cool!
The Artist's signature is the only autograph I would ever want on a guitar anyway. I hadn't thought about that.

its nothing id ever sell since my Sterling is my #1
but for personal/sentimental reasons i think having a Sterling signature instead of the "stock" logo would be bad ass ...

I've found that all the best things in life are worth waiting for. Quality counts. I'd wait very, very patiently.
