Wrong serial ?

Hi!My first music man And its Luke II.Great guitar and my dream for nearly 20 years!But here something strange.Serial on neck plate says its "Axis Sport MM90 Hardtail".How is that possible?

Looks like someone switched it out. Chances are the original Luke one was cracked or something and this one wasn't.

Now you have a story to go with that original black sparkle Luke 2!!!

Bummer it looks like the sanded off the Music Man markings on the back of the head stock as well.

Its just grey.

I check again in serial database and 2 numbers above mine is Luke black sparkle.Maybe its factory mistake?

Yah in the original images it looked like it was gone.

Anything is possible, but again, you have a story and every good guitar needs a story. Original black sparkle is one of the classiest colors EBMM has ever made. Great snag!!!

I'd call customer service and ask them about it. I don't trust the accuracy of the new automated S/N finder...

There have always been a small number of serial numbers in the database (or ANY database) that don't match. It's not a big deal.
