U.S.A. in Mobile, Alabama.....would love to find a P90 model if possible but anything without a trem would do. I know Indoor Storm has one but I'm not too crazy about the color scheme.

If you know you don't like Carbon Blue Pearl with Tortoise, that's cool. But if you're going by the pics on their website, the guitar looks much better in person. The pics on the website are kind of washed out. I've seen the guitar in person, it really is a cool looking AL.

Good luck,
Hack

It looks black in the pics.....does it look like the Carbon Blue Pearl on Ernie Ball's color chart? If it does I might grab it. Also have you played it.....if you did what were your thoughts?

It looks like the CBP on the color chart, absolutely. You're right, the darn thing looks black on the website.

I didn't play it plugged in for any amount of time, because I already have an Albert I bought from Indoor Storm, so I had no need to try this one out for real. But I did pull it off the wall and play unplugged for a minute or so while chatting with the owner. Yep, it's an AL :)

I liked this CBP Albert so much I came this close to ordering my Silo Special in that color. I wound up going with black, but I still think CBP is one of the best solid colors MM has.

Only thing that scares me about buying a guitar without playing it first is the string alignment. If either E string is too close to the edge of the fingerboard and falls off while playing is something that bugs the crap out of me. Do you remember if that might be an issue with the one at Indoor?

Hmm, I don't recall any issues with outer strings rolling off the frets. I've never had that issue with an EBMM, but I have with another guitar after the frets ends were dressed. I know what you mean, it drives me crazy. FWIW, I just pulled my Albert Lee out, and short of something being really really wrong, I can't see that being an issue on this neck, and certainly not on a new guitar.

I appreciate the info.....man its hard to pull the trigger when you haven't played it.

The two at northwestguitars look nice too travs. I wonder what the limited edition AL is going for?

^ the blue dawn was my 1st Al i have ever played. it was perfect like all eb/mm guitars. I bought my LE sight unseen and It was brilliant. Now get off your wallet and pull the trigger. you will be over the moon with either one.

Sorry, I just re-read your first post, and see you have an AL. Thanks for not smacking me for "educating" you about something you already know :).

No problem GuitarHack.....actually in a moment of craziness I let my previous AL go. So now I'm trying to get back to where I belong.

Mobile, Alabama???

I spent 4 days there last week. I live on the Mississippi Coast(well, Boston right now.. but home is on the south coast. :))

My cousin lives in Fairhope, a short distance from Mobile.

Niiiiice.

I doubt that you'll be able to find anything locally. I'm sure you already know.. GC in Mobile has nothing.
