I know where I can get a used/mint Blue Dawn, but I'm worried that "sparkle" just isn't cool anymore. I don't want to buy a guitar I could never get rid of because of the color.

So, I think if I could pick what color SS I'd want, it would be the Pacific Blue or the Burgundy Burst.

Does anyone have one for sale, or know of where there might be one??

Thanks!

Royal Music have a couple blue Axis Sports and Super Sports in stock... I think theirs are mostly Trans Blue or Teals, but you should drop them a line and ask, as they have a really big inventory...

GET RID OF?? There are people that would kill for a Blue Dawn Axis. Just busting yah.

I prefer the sparkle colors myself, I find them unque in their own right. Also, it doesn't hurt that EBMM is/won't be making them pretty much anytime in the furture. Look, if you like the BD Axis, get it and then if you want a burst color, got one of those. It never hurts to have more than one ball. :D

What kind of deal can you get the BD Axis for, if it's worth it, get it.

choosing colors w/ resale in mind......

he's right. if you buy a guitar as an investment...."not just to play". ....."pop colors" must be a consideration. however(comma).......it's all speculation, because the least popular color TODAY, can become the HOT seller TOMORROW...........and, vice-versa. it's best to play it safe, but "playing it safe" is no guarantee of success.

for instance: i bought a BLUE axis ss in a pawn shop. i figured that no-one would pay much for a BLUE guitar, so i made sure to haggle the price WAY DOWN. (also, it was ok w/ me, cuz i liked the axe SO MUCH....that i didn't want to sell it anyway.

long story short.....i was wrong! it turned out to be a very pop color. .......well, shoot! i'm jus' a ol' caucajun........whut'd i know? ;)

Well... I ended up jumping on this new MMSS Blue Dawn they had on blowout sale at Sam Ash. it's even got a Rosewood Neck (that just so happens to have an STUNNINGLY awesome Birdeye-flame to it) Pictures at 11!

My first instinct when I saw the guitar first sight was, "Wow, that guitar is gorgeous". So, rather than talk myself out of it color wise, I pounced.

Thanks Pete. I was really convinced that I was going to just order one next summer (and still might! One w/ Piezo!) But after seeing it again and playing it, I couldn't go home without. So... upon checkout, they had all kinds of problems. Took them 40min to check me out! So, they came off the price $50. So, I paid $950 for a brand new (Not sure what year it is though) MMSS! I'm getting ready to spit shine it and put strings on it, then I'll post some pix!
