After trying numerous helpful suggestions to alleviate a weird arm discomfort issue with a Super Sport (previous post; thanks again for all replies), I've found the Silhouette body to be the solution to the problem. So: looking for Silhouette Special; PM me if interested.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Raz,

I'm leaning towards a Special/trem at this point, but I'll consider anything; if there's a link to your local one I'd check it out.

Thanks!

Jerry, it might help people if you let them know where you are from and just exactly what you are looking for in a Silohuette. IE. Fretboard type, pickup arrangement and what not.

That way if someone know of any on the web this migth help you out.

Glenn,
Yes, good ideas. I added my location (I'm about 45 minutes north of Manhattan), and as far as the specifics, I'm looking for a Silo Special, but am flexible on the rest: I'd consider rosewood or maple, SSS, HSS, etc. trem/hardtail. Having said that, if there was a killer deal offered on a regular Silo, I'd look at it, too... :D

Jerry, try doing a Dealer Search from the Music Man website.

http://www.ernieball.com/mmonline/dealers/

There are a bunch of guys from NY on the board, so you might get lucky if any of them have seen something. You can also talk to Pete Dubaldo, he's a in Conn I'm pretty sure.

Not all of the dealer keep there inventory up to date, but it might give you a pretty good idea.

You can check www.gbase.com as well. Then of course there's always EvilBay.

Jerry - Don't know if you've seen the other thread but there is a sweet looking SILO on Ebay right now - Egyption smoke with a hard tail that's already met its reserve- being offered up by a shop near Pittsburg.

Also there are a few dealers who frequent the board ... bassplyr and Pete DuBaldo you could PM if your looking for new - Pete is in Connecticut so it might be worth the trip.

Here's the one on eBay ... sweet looking. I'd need to file for a divorce before I'd be allowed to buy it though ;) Too much gear in the last year.

Well, I know you are not talking about me, because I update my inventory within a few hours after a sale is made. :D What is the sense of having the inventory online for people to look at if you don't control it?

Pete, nope I wasn't talking about you at all. Actually I was recommending him to you.

I remember either Jon or Derek or someone at EBMM saying that there are some dealers that don't update their inventory listing. Seeing that you have a computer clue I'd imagine that you would keep your up to date. I agree with you why have it if your not going to keep it up to date. I hope that EBMM updates the searching methods though for locating an instrument. Right now as it stand using the zip code to locate dealers is great but it should be able to locate a particular instrument since it's just navigating a database. Hopes and dreams.

blackspy,

Yeah, Big Poppa graces us with his presence once in a while.. as long as nobody is whining about discontinued or not-yet-offered EBMM products. ;)

He is more likely to chime in if he has some background to offer on a subject being discussed. Or, once in a great while when we generate a thread that could possibly contain some information that he finds useful. :D

Hi Herriot and everyone else. I spend most of my surfing time on the Gear Page but I'm a big MM fan--just bought my 2nd AL last week and have an Axis SS being delivered tomorrow. Anyway, I've got a sunburst HSS silo special with trem, maple board that I don't play much. Ex+ condition. You can PM me at [email protected] and I'll answer any questions and shoot you some pix if you're interested.

Best to all on this forum. Nice place!
