Hi Meeder,

Here's the thread that started it all:

http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-basses/23046-save-azzy-trevs-guitars.html

Azzy and Trev had a black cloud of doom hanging over them, or it seemed so, and the forumites jumped to their rescue with the help of RitchieDarling. The Wonder Wipes were Big Poppa's kind gesture of thanks to all those who contributed.

Wonder Wipes are available now in your local EB dealer!

-Beth :)

Not only did EBMM ship me all this free product, they are now going to lose string sales as my previously gunky Super Slinkys are now sparking.

This is an interesting conundrum.

Because you know what? Those Wonder Wipes won't last forever.

And now that we've all had the WW experience, what's going to happen when we run out?

Hmmm? Anyone else now addicted to Wonder Wipes?

I'll let you know after tonight.. when I'll give all three of my EBMM babies a little TLC with those Wonder Wipes. I've been unable to find any guitar time lately! Putting bicycles together, cutting down trees and splitting logs, vine-pulling, grass mowing, turning over the earth in the flower beds... spring is here!

Let me get this straight, you have three EBMM instruments AND you live in Pittsburgh? I'm really freakin' jealous. Please don't tell me you have Steelers season tix.....

My box came last weekend (probably Friday), but I spent the weekend moving so I didn't see them until I got to work on Monday. Now that I'm partially out of boxes I can poke my head out of the ground and say thanks to BP and the rest of the Ernie Ball family for the kind and generous gesture. You guys rock!

Got my box Saturday. Even though I had read from others what was in it, I was still shocked at the big ole canisters of all three wipes, and the 8 zillion Ball stickers.. not just any Ball stickers.. The super duper cool ones.

I've offered my thanks before, but I will do it again. Thanks to Beth, BP, and everyone at EBMM..

Rock on!!

Haha.. no Steelers season tickets here.. I think someone has to die before you can get 'em.

But the EBMMs, yes! A JP6, a Morse Y2D, and a Dargie Bongo 4H!

Very cool subset of Music Man products if I do say so myself!

As for the Wonder Wipes, I tried 'em tonight:

1) Instrument polish wipes: very nice! Cleaned up three guitars very nicely with one wipe.. no streaking, no fuss.. Borat would say "VERY nice".

2) Fretboard conditioner: smells great, and boy were my rosewood boards thirsty! They look really great after hitting them with the wipes. I think I did two guitars per wipe and that was giving each a generous drink of orange+jojoba.

3) String cleaner: I guess my strings weren't that dirty 'cause I didn't collect much grime off the two guitars I tried. Makes sense because I am fanatical about cleaning my strings anyway, and I change them often. I *did* notice that the solution made me aware of a few small cuts on my fingers that I didn't know I had!

These wipes are going to do well once word gets around. I'm taking all of mine to band practice tomorrow so the other fellas can try 'em out.

Thanks again to BP for the set!

I had gotten way more stickers than I needed so I gave them away at our northwest bass get together over the weekend.
Flyman, if I had known sooner you wanted some I would have mailed them to you. When I get home I can check to see if I have any left....

Got my Wonder Wipes this mornin from Strings Direct. I got the ickle ones so they can fit in my guitar case. Absolutely awsome.

String Cleaner! Woot! I normally use an alcohol wipe for cleaning my super slinky's but these are awsome. Just had a quick sniff to see if I could find out what was in em, then noticed the warning on the back, oops! :p

Instrument Polish.
Yay! All that lovely skin and sweat that manages to glue itself to my guitars came off real easy! Normally takes me ages to clean off the gunk and get a good shine.

I aint tried any of the Fretboard conditioner yet, they didnt have any dinky ones one stock when I ordered, but I will as soon as they do.

Oh, and I just realised, when they are empty, a quick wash and ya got yaself some free ernie ball branded multi-purpose container tubs! Screws, nuts, bolts, plecs!

The all new ernie ball storage system, with free guitar wipes inside!

Yes, In know, I am very resourceful. :D

Hey Beth ... are the Wonder Wipes and Strap Locks available in Canada now? My local store has neither.

Let me preface this by stating that i'm not complaining. I love what they did for my bass. But apparently i am extremly allergic to the fretboard conditioner wipes. I bought some, used them and an hour later both of my eyes were swollen shut. SO now i'm just a little more dilligent about washing my hands after use.

But seriously good product guys! well worth the price.

Hi Paul,

Wonder Wipes are available in Canada now! Have your dealer get them from Charlie Argall Music! Strap locks are still in R&D right now, so it will be a few months before those are on the shelves.

Oh no!!! Terribly sorry about the outbreak, Payne! Welcome to the forum, by the way! :)

They contain jojoba oil, orange oil and linseed oil, so it's probably one of those that caused the reaction. Be sure to wash your hands after using them, everyone!
