Okay, things may be getting out of hand here with the Balls references... But funny!! haha!

Instead of slogans, why don't you share your thoughts on your Music Man. Why do you love it so much? What makes the instrument so great? What would you do if you couldn't have it? Would you survive with out it?

The instrument line will eventually shed the Ernie Ball moniker anyway, so why not concentrate on MusicMan instead of Ball talk?

(I realize it's not nearly as fun...:D )

Also, did we ever get official word on whether it's MusicMan or Music Man?

Well......let's just say some of them were funny. Ahem.

Why do I love my basses? I don't even have to think about them, really. The Bongo, especially, feels like an extension of ME. Once I get a decent sound, which is frightfully simple with the onboard EQ, I'm done fiddling with it for the night. All I have to think about is playing!

Which is hard enough for me. I don't have the brain power to play AND worry about my equipment. Plus, sometimes they make me sing. Overload!

I've said it before, but my band isn't exactly sold on the Bongo Look. We play lots of hillbilly I-V beer-drinkin' tunes, so they'd be happier if I were playing something more "traditional". But every time I try some other bass, they actually notice that the tone is just not there.

I find that amazing. They're not exactly gear-heads, to say the very least.

What makes the instrument so great? It's definitely a combination of things, but mostly it's attributable to the simple fact that they're built by musicians for musicians.

I don't like to think about what I would do if I didn't have my Music Man basses.

Let's not even think about that!

Like I said, it makes the sound in my head.

I've been looking for that tone for years and years. Didn't find it until I picked up a Bongo.

I'm done looking.

Do I still get GAS? Of course...who doesn't? But it's for other Bongos.

Fair enough...besides, I didn't read the first post, and jumped in on someone else's lead...ahem.

For this one, I'm going to borrow a line from "Higher1"...

"It's all in the fing'as...BOOM!"

I like my Music Man basses because they can be heard and when heard they have the sound everyone thinks a bass should sound like.

They play easily. Top notch treatment from the company from day one of owning my MM.

Most enjoyable thing is BP calling me Grandpa flats. :) I finally gotta title as a bass player.

My Music Man basses just become part of me when I pick them up. They become extensions of my being and physical expressions of my mind.

And they always sound good. It doesn't matter where the selector levers are, they will always sound "right" for the occasion.

After playing my Stingray I look out at the crowd of bass players with those everyday instruments (even the pricey ones), and I say to myself, what a wonderful day. :)

If it seemed like I was trying to blame you, that was not my intention at all. I like reading your posts "good or bad". Keeps things exciting around here. I thought my post was funny, but I can see why it was taken down, oh well.:D

My post didn't have anything to do with yours at all...there were others that made similar comments.
