Are they the same as the ones on the Luke where you tighten the string behind the headstock, or they like the Sub1? This is for a hardtail version.

I believe I've seen pictures of both:confused:

The hardtail Y2D, like all EBMM hardtail and vintage trem equipped guitars except the Sub 1, uses the Schaller locking tuners (just like the Luke). The the Floyd Rose equipped Axis, Y2D, and original Steve Morse Signatures which use non-locking Schaller tuners, and the Sub 1 which uses Gotoh locking tuners.

You probably saw a Y2D with the Floyd that didn't have the wheel on the back of the tuners.

Thanks. The one I saw were the 2 that are on ebay when you do a search of Morse and musical instruments. Will try to get you a link.

I did a search and I see the two listings you are talking about. They are from the same dealer, and I can't tell if they have two auctions for the same guitar or auctions for two guitars using the same photos. Here is the photo of the back of the headstock you are talking about:

You can clearly see two holes on the back of the neck - that is for mounting the locking nut from the locking trem option. EBMM's licensed Floyd Rose uses the original-style nut that has mounting holes drilled all the way through the neck. That photo is from a different guitar than the other photos, which are of a hardtail Y2D.

Hope that helps.

Thanks guys, I should have figured it out that it was a pic of a floyd guitar as my Axis looks the same way.

Oops - sorry for the unneeded history lesson on the Floyd guitar neck; I didn't notice you had an Axis listed in your sig.
