Hey guys, lots of fun reading over here:D

Say, about these artist models: I know Luke is Steve Lukather and Morse is Steve Morse, but who is this Y2D fellow?

And Shimi, get a Luke, mill off the top 1/2", glue a nice top onto there, swap the pickups and you're there!

Actually, it is the Steve Morse Artist Model. It is the second one as approved by Steve Morse. It is to celebrate his 20 years with EBMM.....that is why it is the Y2D. :cool:

I have been watching this thread with great interest.

Thank you for your passion and desire for a different guitar.

The fact is that there are over 80,000 options available as it is and you are the ONLY person on the planet that wants what you want.

When we work with an artist we learn from them and provide a instrument with everything they want. We also promise them that whatever is developed for them will stay with their guitar and that they could travel the world and pull one of their models off the shelf and gig with it. Some companies out there dont think it is important to sell the public an accurate example of the sig guitar but not EBMM>

Hi Big Poppa

Nice to meet you , & actually all of the guys here

First im flattered :) , and now when im reading that you are from the customer service may i reprisent you some questions- and ill be happy if you would like to answer them

1 - If MM will make a kind of a poll , and the major results will be body A + neck B + Pup's C {only MM equipment ofcourse}.....

is this wiil be enough for start thinking about a new model design ???

2 - Everything have a price - i know , if a person call you and say I want guitar A neck B , is there any price that will suitable for them ? or no money will cause them to build such a thing ???

3 - in case that they dont do it no matter what, are you recommend to start "playing" with those things with a luthier ??? { can they make precist job folowing the exact spec'...... ????}

4 - i red somewhere that the y2d have a slimmer neck & upgraded somehow is it so???

Thanks in advance

As a proud custoomer service representitive i will gladly answer your questions

1. WE prefer to handle our r&d on new models from the ground up. Just combining existing neckss with exisiting bodies really doesnt move the instrument forward very much.

2. I am not a cheap date. There is no price unless I get to take credit for it

3. Our company does not recomend any luthier and strongly suggests that if you decide to atler your instrument that you understand that you have violated your warranty and are on your own

y2d with luke neck

on the back of all this jibber jabber on ideal combos of bodies and necks. i'll add my 2pence worth (uk obviously)..... i too love the feel of the luke neck. i have relatively small hands and it is THE most comfortable neck i have ever played. i used to think the neck on the axis was my holy grail but i was wrong. so on that front, i'd be wanting an axis with a luke neck but with 24frets and a JP peizo trem.

not asking too much i would say Big Poppa!!!!:D

ok i had a plan to come to the factory and offered them a great offer to build this for me ........im serious {i dont have money problem }

its nice to know also that it is a mistake to go to a luthier { like i thought so } and you dont recommend it which is contrary to what other members suggested

last thing is the y2d neck - did the spec' change a bit from the old Morse ???

THANKS AGAIN
