I have just received an email from my boss (screen name Dargin) Scott Ball. He is the bosses son and is not happy with me at all. He wants to personally explain to you why we cannot make what you want. Please email him at [email protected]. (try to put in a good word for me, it is pay review time here)
I've never seen a more blatant way of trying to climb the corporate ladder. Keep it up and you'll be running this company one day ;)

Here's my take....

I think "many" people comment about loving the Luke neck profile so much because it is described as a "prominent V shape" which may cause some people to not even consider it. Once they pick up the guitar and fall in love with the neck, the praises fly.

I know I was pleasantly surprised with the first one that came in, I liked the neck quite a bit - enough that I will be ordering a Luke for myself. Would I ask for a Luke neck on another guitar body? No. That's like asking if you can be a man born with t!ts like Pam Anderson's. The answer is it is possible by your modification only - this would NOT HAPPEN AT THE FACTORY.

My special custom request - Blue Dawn Albert Lee, HSS, Trem, maple, natural, Silent Circuit, white pearloid, with a birdseye neck to die for....

+1 but give it a matching headstock and piezo!

I think I'm the one guy on the planet who finds the Luke neck uncomfortable. Even so, I still admire those guitars (and the dude they're named for).
I'm convinced there's a neck for everyone among the MM line.

I'm lovin' my Petrucci neck more than ever 'cause I just oiled and waxed that bad boy with the Birchwood Casey products. Talk about greased lightning!

Steve, I'd love a matching headstock, piezo, and while I'm at it, a rosewood board instead of maple, but what's on the way will be here Thursday :)

You sure know how to hurt a guy, Pete.

:D

I'm living vicariously through every forumite who's got an AL or 20th Silo on order!

You know it hurts daddy when you talk like that. (Enjoy the guitar you lucky bastard!)

Btw- Shimi- I have an old Morse, a Y2D, a Luke, and others. The Y2D is my FAVOURITE neck. Hands down. End of story.

i have to say that i am not that keen on the luke body or p'ups. i could live with the body shape but would have to change the p'ups, probably to passive ones.

ya for sure. it IS my holy grail of necks. the 'v' profile and the overall radius is just heavenly. i have an Axis SS MM90 on the way (used) and i am thinking of getting the neck reprofiled to emulate the luke neck.
