Yeah this thread is depressing !

This forum (and its participants !) is the most comprehensive, patient and helpful on the net ... somehow, i wouldnt want it to change because some people took advantage of it !

One more thing, buddy

One thing I've come to understand re: EBMM is that when you buy one of their guitars, your kind of like buying a piece of their family and with that, all of their hard work and dedication to making better guitars/equipment for people such as ourselves. Its kind of like computers. All of the parts components pretty much come from the same place, but when you chose a particular brand over another, you're more than likely buying their service. With EBMM, you not only have the opportunity to chat with Big Pappa, but you get one hell of a guitar, as well. Now, if your attitude is "well, I'm the paying customer and I should get what I want", then you know what? Don't buy the product, plain and simple.
In my never ending quest of finding that one guitar that is right for me, I'll say that not a single person I've talked to have said anything derogatory re: EBMM guitars. I mean, I ran into those, "oh, I only play F**d%r" people, but all of them liked EBMM while expressing their discourse with other brands.
I do not own an EBMM yet (keep my fingers crossed as I'm watching one closely on ebay), but have played the luke, axis, morse, and silo.
The worst part about playing them? Deciding which one to buy first!

p.s. Oh, and don't dis Big Poppa. That kind of ticked me off. He's to nice and genuine for that.

Hi Shimi,

I apologize for not getting back to you today. BP, our company CEO/President/Owner (I know how you love titles, BP! :D) and Dargin/Scott Ball, his son have both been really busy lately. Since you are an international customer, you have been in my inbox today. I got tied up with lots of exciting stuff here at EB/MM today and didn't get a chance to get back to you.

The reason why we have this forum here is for people to get help and advice and share their love for Ernie Ball/Music Man products. It is also a great tool for us at EB/MM to hear the voice of you, the customer.

That said, we duly note all opinions and consider the customer when BP and Dudley get their heads together on a new project. We listen to you. However, we have so many orders for people who are happy with the options we offer, it is impossible to serve each individual's needs and tastes.

It appears to me that you have not gotten a chance to play the Y2D yet. Where are you located? This way I can help you find a place where you could try one and decide whether or not you like the look and feel of the Luke better or the look and feel of the Y2D better. If you're anything like the fruitcakes here on the EB/MM forum, you'll love 'em both and want to buy both! :p :)

As soon as I get back to the office tomorrow, I'll make sure we get back to you by e-mail.

All the best,
Beth :)

Alrighty. I'm am done with this. I will let this one pass simply on the hope you have no idea who Big Poppa is. Dudley designs guitars and basses for EBMM. Let me tell you this....he is a master of bringing out the best in guitars and basses with his innovative and "out the box" thinking. Sterling Ball, owner, a.ka. Big Poppa approves of all designs and even puts his enlightenment into the designs. He makes sure we are happy....point blank....

I will tell you this....Sterling is NOT small poppa. That is quite frankly being disrespectful to the man who is also my friend. I will not tolerate it on HIS forum as most will not. You are out of line and an apology is warranted here.

Dudley is a super cool dude and I have much respect for him and his work. We are all thankful for his ideas. If you ever meet him, you will see for yourself how much of a super cool dude he is.

Big Poppa is one of the most generous individuals I know. I have said it before and will say it again....the world needs a million more like him. You have NO idea how much a statement like that irks me. I have been there for his generosity and for know how much he cares about the business, but as one of us and he does not distance himself from his customer base. YOU should be thankful for his interest and participation on the forum.

DO NOT disrespect him. It will not be tolerated. Your next post in this thread should be an apology for a statement like that. He has given his life and blood to this business. He has given his life to his family.....nothing "small" about that. I want to state something on his generosity, but on the promise to Big Poppa, I will not as it was his wish and I will honor that.

Shimi....we have had fun with this and a dream guitar is just that. A dream with changing an artist signature model. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN UNLESS THE ARTIST SAYS SO.

Rant over.

hey hey come down and relax , i dont know who is who ???? and probably dont need to know , lucky for you that you know who is the designer who is the manager , and btw they are your friends.............. etc'......... i dont just respect / disrespect people cause they are great designer /engineers or whatever ......... i respect hungry child in Africa exactly like i respect you...........

I just asked simple question for those nick names ........

dont expect that some one who wants to buy guitar for example Ibanez will make a research who is the designer who is the Manager and so on ......

i dont need to apologies for nothing cause i didnt do some thing wrong

and if big poppa / or i dont know who is insulted , he can speak for himself and ofcourse i will apologies to him .

its funny , its like people here speaking in the names of theirs friends like they are theirs lawyers and asking apologies in the friends name.........

if the moderator thinks that i did something wrong he can comment me personaly/ privatly ,or kick me out

Hey Shimi
There isnt an instrument in our line that dudley and I didnt colaborate on, Some more Dudley, some actually more me. It is a TEAM. Dudley and I have been together for over twenty years without a conflict or disagreement.

Your rambling posts complaining about the Y2D neck when you haven't played it are getting tiresome. Play the guitar first and then decide if it needs a different neck or trem system.

OK good to know , but i didnt complain on the y2d neck at all, and im gonna play it for sure
