I was trying to explain to a friend what my Bongo is like.

Yeah, it is like that.

I've been rediscovering the four banger this week. Played the Flaming Biff at rehearsal Thursday night and felt like I was flying a fighter plane.

(We videotaped some of it but we were already way into the vodka, so it may not ever surface, but I'll check it one of these days.)

What gets me now, more than the otherwordly tone of the damned things, is the FOCUS.

I don't even know how to explain that, but that's what I was thinking when I was playing it again today.

Yeah, that's about right.

Just this evening I was just trying to describe the Bongo to someone who'd never heard one. I ended up calling it a "Nuclear Cruise Missile" of a bass.

The Bongo ain't no joke.

I'd love to have any of those Yamahas or Guilds.

Still, the Bongo is a great bass, way way better than anything F****r or G****n
puts out at the price, or any price for that matter. It's wonderful that EBMM makes such great instruments and still prices them within reach of the workingman.:D

Yes, +1 (well, if you substitute "Sterling" for "Bongo" anyway)....

...(runs and hides under desk)

And, as I find myself saying very often these days: Don't get me wrong. EBMM basses rule the known universe in perpetuity, and all other basses are subject the suzerainty of Ernie Ball. All rights reserved.
